I’ve been an SAT tutor for over a year now, teaching both group classes and one-on-one sessions. In total, I’ve helped more than 70 students reach their SAT goals. Back in Bangladesh, I worked as an SAT instructor at Mentors' and developed the SAT teaching curriculum at Noetic. How My Classes Work The SAT is all about finding patterns and mastering the "game". My classes are structured to help you do exactly that. In each class, I will teach you some theoretical basics first and then make you go through some actual SAT problems related to those basics. It's not about me showing you how to solve, rather it's about making you capable to think like a 1500+ scorer. In the process, I'll observe your thought process and give feedback on where you are going wrong and what you doing right. Sounds impressive? Here’s the class breakdown: English Classes Words in Context Text Structure and Purpose Cross-Text Connections Central Ideas and Details Command of Evidence (Textual, Quantitative) Inferences Boundaries Form, Structure, and Sense Rhetorical Synthesis Transitions Math Classes Algebra: 3 sessions Advanced Math: 3 sessions Problem Solving and Data Analysis: 3 sessions Geometry and Trigonometry: 2 sessions Don’t worry; the number of classes is flexible. If you’re already confident in certain topics, we’ll skip them and focus on what needs improvement. This isn’t a cookie-cutter course—it’s all about what works best for you. Logistics Duration: Each class is 1.5 hours. Preferred Schedule: After 6 PM (but we can discuss). Class Options: Online (Google Meet, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams) or in-person (either at Aalto University, my place, or yours (applicable for Espoo and Helsinki)). Why Choose Me? I am English and speak fluent Dutch. Spanish has always been a language that I loved and wanted to learn. So, I took the plunge and started learning with Patricia. Patricia is such a dedicated highly professional teacher, full of enthusiasm. She inspires me by using all kinds of different lesson methods. Reading, watching films, various writing exercises that she creates herself, she also encourages students to attend monthly get togethers where we all speak Spanish together around a well adorned table of food and drink with a Spanish speaking country as the theme. Her patience with my slow talking and constant mistakes with word endings and verbs is just amazing!! I have been learning for more than half a year now and I hope many more years to come.Thank you Patricia! I highly recommend this teacher.

Best piano lesson I've ever had! Admittedly, this was also the first lesson I've ever had - however it was every bit as good as I had hoped it would be. Starting at the ripe old age of 35 I was slightly concerned that I might be too old to start, but Deniz made the whole experience very easy to enjoy, and she adapted the lesson around the very little bits I was able to do, while filling in lots of information that I didn't know. Looking forward to carrying on my training and would highly recommend to anyone that's thinking of taking the plunge.

Valentyna is an excellent teacher. She is always extremely well-prepared. The level of her lessons is very well pitched: each lesson builds on the work of the previous lesson and I am always challenged throughout the lesson. This means I have learned a lot in a very short space of time and I can see the progress I am making. Valentyna is also very friendly and the atmosphere of the classes is very good.
