I am a native Polish speaker wanting to help you connect with Polish speaking friends, family and strangers, opening you up to over 45 million speakers worldwide. Since I am not a professional teacher, our lessons will focus on more than just passing an exam and allow you to understand how to communicate effectively and confidently. I will offer help with homework tasks, translations and of course general pronunciation during the lessons, as well as recommendations for independent practice.

Lessons can be conducted entirely in English or Polish depending on the challenge you seek.

I have been a teacher for over 30 years, and I gained experience in teaching Polish as a foreign language at the People's University (Volksuniversiteit) in The Hague (Netherlands). Since 2015 I have been teaching Polish to adults from different backgrounds at this university.
I am a teacher with language teaching preparation, which means that I am prepared to conduct Polish lessons as a foreign or second language

Moreover, children from Polish-Dutch families were or currently are participants in my private and group lessons at a Saturday school in the Netherlands.

Given my disciplined, reliable and professional attitude, I am happy to take up any challenge in teaching Polish as a foreign language.

I use simple yet effective teaching methods such as a focus on direct contact with the language, natural acquisition of vocabulary and grammar or frequent repetition of language material.

During my lessons I mainly use the tools and materials from various publishers.

Being a teacher gives me great satisfaction, especially when I see students ambitiously continue their language learning and try to use and expand their knowledge at every interaction with the Polish society.

French is of course a beautiful, lilting language. Who doesn't want to learn it? I'd be happy to help you with that. In our minds we are already going on a trip to France and practice the situations you will encounter there. Depending on your goals and your level, we can go in all directions. Do you finally want to be able to have a conversation with the locals during the holidays? Then we work on that.
Do you have a house in France and you want to be able to talk to all handymen, then we will get to work.
And if you do a lot of business with French-speaking countries, we will choose a business French method and practice with the situations in which you need the language.
In short, we can go in all directions!
Because French is such a lilting language and the pronunciation is sometimes difficult, I like to work with chansons. By singing along you learn the pronunciation naturally and the lyrics of the songs can be the basis for a grammatical topic or a social topic to talk about. I am also working on a course based on the chanson. I'd be happy to tell you more about this.
