Hi! I teach Dutch and English for beginners and Business English for anyone who wants to improve their professional communication. I can teach in both English and Dutch, depending on what you’re most comfortable with. I’ve also worked as a tutor for middle school students, so I’m used to creating a relaxed and supportive learning environment for my students. 🌼

In a rapidly evolving world where knowledge and data continue to expand, it's essential not to overlook real social connections. Helping others has been a significant part of my life since I was a little boy. I am driven to contribute to our society by bringing people together and fostering meaningful connections. This ambition fuels my desire to work towards this goal.

Currently, I am a Belgian student in my second year of Civil Engineering at KU Leuven. However, I have come to realize that this field doesn't align with my passion for human interaction. Hence, I have decided to reorient myself academically and will be starting a degree in Business Engineering in September.

Before I embark on my new academic journey, I want to utilize the next five months to share my knowledge and gain additional skills. I take pride in the quality of education I received at my high school, Heilig Hartcollege Tervuren, and would be delighted to offer study pathway counseling and support to you or your child/teen. I teach (basic) Dutch to (young) adults who speak other languages. The purpose of the lesson is to be able to have easy and simple conversations in daily life. In addition, there is also practice on language comprehension and written language production. We practice Dutch on the basis of role plays, audio clips and newspaper articles. Also people who already have some knowledge of Dutch are more than welcome to join. During the first lesson we will discuss your requirements so that I can adapt my lessons accordingly.

I like to help children who are in primary or secondary education and who have some problems with English, French or mathematics! I can help you with homework, also for other subjects, I can also learn different study methods. Craft and music lessons can also be given.

Here is how you will learn if you choose to take this Course:
During each session:

STEP 1: I ask you "appropriate" questions to what's most important to you in your life.

STEP 2: You reply as good as you can.

STEP 3: I correct your English where necessary, your pronunciation if needed, and help you say what you actually are trying to say (FYI: I have 18 years of experience in teaching English ).

STEP 4: Together we create a script, a piece of text, for your next 1-minute English ListeningExercise.

STEP 5: After the session I professionally record your tailor-made 1-minute English ListeningExercise.

STEP 6: Your task is to listen to that ListeningExercise for 10 minutes every day with headphones.

STEP 7: A week later (or less), you take your next session with me where you show me how well you can say your 1-minute English ListeningExercise from memory and we repeat the process.
