This class is geared towards polishing the reading skills of students as well as boost their confidence in expressing themselves in English. Aside pronunciations and spelling, we put our skills to test in dialogues performed at home or in class. In Abidjan for instance, many people interested in learning English also have some basics from the classroom. For instance, the can say hello, how are you and perhaps the days of the week. However, their major challenge is holding a conversation in English for long. And when they speak, the French accent is very heavy on their English. Th same problem applies to anglophone children born in French-speaking countries. If parents do not consciously speak English with their kids, they tend to lose touch with English Language with time.
