I have a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and have practical experience working with children and the elderly. In addition to my academic background, I gained valuable experience as an Au Pair in the Netherlands, where I cared for and supported the development of children, organized educational and recreational activities, and helped with their emotional and behavioral growth.

Furthermore, as part of my psychology internship, I worked in a temporary care center for children at risk, where I provided emotional and psychological support, assisted in their development, and worked closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure their well-being and safety.

I also have experience working in a care home for the elderly, where I provided emotional and psychological support, assisted with the adaptation and well-being of the residents, and collaborated with the team to enhance their quality of life.

These two experiences gave me a broad understanding of the needs of different age groups and the ability to adapt to the specific needs of each person, whether a child or an elderly individual.

Hoi ik ben Luna,
zelf ben ik docent Nederlands en ben ik bevoegd om les te geven aan kinderen tot 18 jaar oud. Ik ben er achter gekomen dat kinderen zelfs na de lessen op school, behoefte hebben aan extra les. Ik zeg altijd: je kan niet overal goed in zijn!
Ik heb jaren voor de klas gestaan en heb altijd met veel plezier ervaren hoe kinderen dingen voor elkaar krijgen met een beetje begeleiding. Heb jij moeite met Nederlands of zou je graag les en hulp willen krijgen voor een ander vak, dan kan ik je hierbij helpen.

Wat maakt les van mij zo bijzonder?
Ieder kind is uniek en je kan niet overal goed in zijn. Naast de natuurlijke onderwijsvormen waarbij het kind centraal staat en op individueel niveau wordt gekeken naar de ontwikkeling, probeer ik de sterke competenties van kinderen te bundelen en te gebruiken zodat zij ook andere kinderen kunnen helpen. Hierdoor leert een kind samenwerken, lief zijn voor elkaar en te communiceren. Naast de lessen die vakinhoudelijk zijn, verzorg ik online workshops waarbij maatschappelijke onderwerpen aan bod komen. Zoals een workshop waarbij behandelt wordt hoe het onderwijssysteem in Nederland werkt en welke diploma's nodig zijn om een beroep uit te oefenen of wat het nut is van een verklaring van goed gedrag en hoe belangrijk dit is.

De lessen vinden online plaats of in de bibliotheek gelegen aan het Osdorpplein in Amsterdam.

With Naomi's academic background in both visual arts and psychology, she offers an in-depth perspective on how painting can serve as a therapeutic medium. This course is designed for individuals of all ages and skill levels who are interested in using painting and drawing as a means of personal development and healing.

These classes focus on intuitive painting, a technique that encourages participants to explore their subconscious feelings, memories, and even unresolved traumas. Through this expressive art form, participants are given the opportunity to explore and express their inner world in a non-verbal manner, opening a unique path to healing and self-discovery.

What You Can Expect

Guidance from an expert in both Art and Psychology: Naomi guides participants through the process of intuitive painting, offering techniques that help bring the subconscious to the surface.
A Supportive Environment: Each participant is encouraged to work at their own pace and explore their personal experiences.
Personal Development: The focus is on the process, not the end product. Participants learn how to use art as a form of self-care and self-expression.

I teach violin to children and adults, beginners and advanced.

Every student is unique. Besides developing good technique, I also enjoy meeting each student's musical wishes and dreams. Learning to play the violin is a collaborative process!

From the very first lesson, I pay a lot of attention to playing together, because making music together is the most fun there is!

In addition to individual lessons, I support my students' playing in orchestras, ensembles, and bands. There are also several opportunities to perform with the accompaniment of a professional pianist. Once a year, I organize a video recording day with several students for competitions and contests. My students have won awards, both in the Netherlands and internationally.

In addition to individual lessons, I offer a "MY LITTLE VIOLIN" STROLL COURSE for children aged 3-5. This course consists of 10 lessons for young children, introducing them to music and the violin. I also offer this course to English- and German-speaking children.

I teach violin in four different languages: Dutch, German, English and Italian.

Violin lessons at home are also possible.

About Me:
I'm a violinist with the Dutch National Opera & Ballet in Amsterdam. I've worked with numerous orchestras both in the Netherlands and abroad. I also perform chamber music and Brazilian choro (Duo Chorinho, with Alvaro Rovira Ruiz on guitar). I received international training at the conservatories of Hamburg, Rome, and Amsterdam.

I have been working as a violin teacher for over 30 years, including internationally, including a masterclass for Brazilian violin students at the University of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
