Hello! My name is Chloe and I’m a native English speaker from London, England. I have been living in Barcelona for 3 years teaching English to adults and children of different ages and levels.

In 2018, I graduated from university with a degree in Education and Social Studies with English. I also have a TEFL certificate.

Classes are quick and dynamic and are focused more on grammar and fluency. However, classes can be tailored to your needs, e.g. conversational classes or grammar based classes. They can be online or in-person.

The class is made up of 1 or 2 grammar points per hour, along with a mixture of agility exercises. The main aim of the lesson is to improve fluency and agility.

I have a degree in English with experience teaching both adults and children of different ages and levels. The classes are quick and fast paced with corrections happening on the spot. Repetition is at the heart of every class. The classes will be prepared for your specified English level.

Whilst most of the classes are based on a given Grammar point, there is also a chance to have more general conversation.

My experience? One of my first studies was Fontys Lerarenopleiding (Tilburg) to be a Spanish teacher. Part of this was teaching Spanish to teenagers at a high school, being a Dutch tutor for my university classmates, and staying in Madrid to study at the University of Nebrija for a month. I have something like 10 years of experience in teaching classes: individual and group, with children and adults, online and face to face. I live in Spain (now in Barceloneta) with my partner since 2019, I have studied in Chile for 5 months and 3 months in Mexico for my master's degree. Be surprised by a varied offer. In this series of tutoring lessons I give tips to be able to read Latin texts fluently. Using a number of selected texts from post-classical periods (mainly the Renaissance), both prose and poetry, we approach Latin as a modern language. This means that we read linearly and do not try to solve the sentence structures as a puzzle. The intended goal is to read Latin in a fluent and pleasant way, as well as to become acquainted with Latin texts and cultures from later periods.

I’ve completed two degrees in English and also I have worked in English, so I can say it comes naturally to me. I’m passionate about learning languages myself, so I’d love to help you improve your Dutch or English.
