Music is an important part of all of our lives. Even if we’re not aware of it. Music is everywhere, it’s in your head, it’s on your screens, it’s on the street, in your favourite shops and in your headphones. It’s something that is an amazing passion to have as it’s a great way to express yourself if you struggle to in your day to day life. Life can be so boring sometimes but music is fun. My class will be teaching you how to elevate your vocals, access your different voices, vocal warm ups, motivation to keep going because everybody can sing if they try hard enough!! I have been educated in secondary school until year 10. After year 10 I was homeschooled so I unfortunately don’t have any GCSEs but that has not stopped me from going for what I want.

My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education.
My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals.
As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborated with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs.

My main goal is to help the student discover her or his voice while enjoying making music.
No experience is needed, just bring your enthusiasm and favorite music.

Our teacher using, if necessary, an electro-acoustic guitar to better accompany your voice and guide some of its subtleties, the teaching philosophy is adapted to each level, according to the pace of work and motivation.

My classes are different depending on your level and age.

With children from 7 to 12, we start by doing easy vocalization and start training the ear with intonation, we then have fun singing your favorite songs.

With teenagers, I also start with some vocalization, a little more elaborate. Depending on the student's capabilities, we start establishing a comfortable range for them and then proceed to singing.

For my older students ideally, I divide our lesson into 2 sections. We work on respiration and how the diaphragm works. We do scales and arpeggios and work on intonation. We then proceed to singing and putting into practice our technique. Some students might need more technique before they actually sing, I like to take things slowly and make sure the student feels confident and comfortable singing.

I teach children, teenagers, and adults, from beginners to more advanced. Classical training enables you to sing in any kind of way, so don’t hesitate and let’s sing!
