Learn Piano the way it pleases you!

I'm a pianist with over 25 years of experience in Classical Music. I started playing classical piano at 5 years old.
I took three semesters of a Bachelor in Piano course at UECE - University of the State of Ceará, in Brazil, but I have been giving private piano lessons, even before that, for 15 years, the youngest of my students being 4 years old.

In 2015 I performed, at the Lutherse Kerk with the Valerius Symphonic Student Orchestra, Shostakovich’s Symphony nr. 5. At the time I was doing an exchange program in Industrial Design at The Hague University of Applied Sciences.

I have far more experience with Classical Music, but I also played rock in a few bands. I also studied Electronic music production, so I'm very open to whatever type of music you want to learn.

I used to teach to all levels, but in 2019 I suffered a stroke that left me with a disability that only allows me to teach beginners.

Please feel free to tell me what is your intention in learning piano, whether it's playing Classical Music, learning songs by ear, or Music Theory, you name it. I'll be glad to give my best to help you achieve your goals.

Students should have a Piano or Keyboard to practice at home.

Books and score sheets should be bought only after the first class, so that I can evaluate your level. Many times I prefer to print specific songs that the student is interested in instead of following a book, because I believe it's better for the students to enjoy what they are playing than feeling like they have to play something they find boring just for the sake of learning piano. I believe that any song can be used to develop piano skills. I will make sure to select songs that will match the level of the student and increase the complexity gradually.

The class duration for young children could be reduced, if agreed with the parents, because sometimes it's too exhausting and the attention spam is not sufficient. This way I believe the child ends up enjoying more the class.

Hi!
I'm a student from Brazil, graduated in Industrial Design, but I'm also a pianist, composer and music producer. I had an one year exchange program in 2015 at The Hague University, in Industrial Design Engineering, and now I'm back to The Hague since August, 2017, living with my wife and three children.
