The class is meant for those who wish to enter the world of performance art - an experimental art form that originated in the 1960s in the United States. My intention with the lessons is to teach a student how to begin an independent artistic practice as a performance artist through practical exercises, readings, and analysis of performances (on photos, video and in events we would visit together).

The basic theory and history of performance art are introduced so the student can get oriented in the respective art context. If desired, the class can go deeper in theory with the readings from the related field of Performance Studies. While performance ART is an artistic field, performance STUDIES is wider academic discipline working with the notion of performance not only in art but also in the sports, rituals, play, every day, sex, technology, business and elsewhere.

I base the class on my years-long artistic, theoretical and curatorial practices and on my education in the field (BA in Site-Specific Performance, ongoing MA in Live Art and Performance Studies, BA in General Art Studies).

The class is meant for those who wish to engage with the world of cinema on a deeper level that goes beyond the simple act of watching. As a Film Studies graduate, I offer an introduction to both the history of cinematography as well as to its basic theories.

The course can be useful for those preparing for the entrance exams for academic film studies as well as for all cinema enthusiasts. It includes watching short movie samples, discussion, homework, and if requested reading-related theoretical texts.

Private Painting and Drawing lessons, any level! I am a classically trained painter, I have been painting seriously for 20 years and studied intensively in Florence, Italy. I will teach you the basics about light, form, line, colour and space, and how to constantly grow and improve. We start with drawing from observation and continue to other mediums, including oil paint, once the student is ready.

Landscape, still life, portrait, expressive. My goal is to help my students improve every time and reach a new level. I provide many examples from art history as well as my own work, and give lots of demonstrations. I offer a personalized approach fitted to each student.

The classes are in a small group format, no more than 4 at a time and each student works at their own pace, it is private classes with other students present, offering a supportive environment in which to learn and grow. Each student receives personalized instruction at their own level. Each student is guaranteed to improve.

I ask for a commitment of 5 lessons at a time to see some improvement, and I accept students who are looking for longer term learning. Commitment is a must to grow! Try out one lesson to see if the class is a good for for you. My students tend to stay with me for the long term, if it is the right fit.

The classes take place in my studio in the charming location of Grand Hospice, a converted hospice in the city center of Brussels.

I am a young professional in the film industry, I have collaborated with multiple partners such as Vice, Sony, Unicef, WWF, but also many musicians, architects, non-profit companies and independent creators.
I have experience as a director, editor, dop, editing assistant, focus puller, author, electro, and production assistant.

I've studied 5 years of Cinema in Luca Arts Brussels, and one year of Supermedia studies in Prague Umprum.
My strengths lie especially in combining the musical field with the cinematographic point of view, such as experimental video art, arthouse movies, videoclips but also dance and musici films - although I've trained to become a co-ordinator of team-work and an efficient editor too.
I work for corporate companies, big music industries and very small independent projects as well, depending whether or not I like the music. (hihi)

I will teach you video and movie editing, for your own or commercial use.
The software I recommend is the full adobe kit, musically, I can work with ableton, audacity and a little bit with pro tools too.

I've completed a multiple amount of residencies in the framework of my own artistic practices, and could describe myself as a multidisciplinary artist.

My work has been featured on several international magazines with a width of 700k monthly readers and I have enjoyed international exposure with my filmic work.

After a preparatory class at the grandes écoles (khagne) in France, I arrived in Belgium to pursue studies in a field other than history. Having now obtained my master's degree, I am taking up studies of history at the beginning of my professional life (in the third year) and I therefore propose to give courses in this subject and the adjacent subjects.

Regarding the methodology, I adapt to the student. Having always been a very turbulent student and knowing that it has always been difficult to keep up, I am partisan of a method that is built around the needs and desires of each.

I like playful and dynamic courses that require real participation from the student, based on his strengths. I want my classes to be more reflective rather than rote learning. History can be learned stupidly but it is better understood when one seeks to deepen the ins and outs that are linked to an event. I work with all the possible supports to be able to interest the students according to their centers of interests: musical, audiosivual, sports, papers, etc.

So, I try to make history as exciting but as fun as it is.

This class is designed for children who wish to learn either English or French while playing and experimenting with colours, shapes and texture.
We will make large or small scale paintings, ceramics, lino cuts (for older children), silk painting, drawing, sculpture, plays, etc.

The classes are for a minimum of two children and a maximum of four at a time and are suitable for all ages.
The idea is to have fun while learning a new language.

The material is included in the price.

Graduated from a Bac +3 in Art History and a Bac + 3 in History, I want to share my knowledge and my enthusiasm for art history.

Méthodologie

Personne n'est égal face à l'apprentissage d'une matière, nous avons tous nos forces et nos faiblesses. Le tout est de les identifier et c'est bien ça que je propose principalement (en plus d'une remise à niveau).

Le premier cours consisterait donc à connaitre l'élève que j'ai en face, à saisir son niveau actuel ainsi que ses difficultés et à m'y adapter. Je dispose d'une grand expérience dans le domaine de l'enseignement à domicile et de rattrapage scolaire.

Je suis passionné par les matières que je propose et je pense pouvoir vous aider à les rendre plus concrètes, vivantes dans votre esprit (loin d'un professeur distant). J'apprécie particulièrement rendre le cours participatif et lancer des débats/discussions où les éléments appris vous aident à vous positionner.

Mes cours s'adressent principalement aux élèves de secondaire, d'écoles supérieures et aux premières années d'université (surtout pour les compétences rédactionnelles nécessaires à l'élaboration d'un travail scientifique).

Je suis diplômé en archéologie et histoire de l'art de l'université de Namur et un ancien militaire. J'ai déjà donné des cours de rattrapage pour "Educadomo" durant mes études (notamment à des élèves étrangers en grande difficulté, rien n'est jamais perdu ;) ). J'ai commencé à donner des cours privés il y a maintenant deux ans

Français/histoire/anglais/rédaction et compréhension de textes/musique de base (guitare, basse, solfège).

Je suis passionné par l'histoire humaine au sens large et par l'actualité (allant de la préhistoire à nos jours). Je me tiens continuellement au courant des dernières recherches et mises-à-jour tout comme je dispose d'une expérience solide dans l'enseignement.

I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen.

I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist.

I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns.

In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on.

You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns.

Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

Bonjour,

Je suis Catherine, j'ai 21 ans. J'ai eu mon CESS en 2017, et j'ai entrepris des études aux Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles (peinture) et ensuite de graphisme à la Haute Ecole Albert Jacquard. Ayant eu l'opportunité de faire grandir mon projet, j'ai laissé tombé mes études pour devenir tatoueuse.

Néanmoins, j'ai une bonne maitrise de Photoshop, voir Illustrator et InDesign.
D'un point de vue plastique, je maitrise plusieurs techniques de dessin, et j'ai une approche de l'art très intuitive pour laisser un maximum de place à l'imaginaire et au style graphique des artistes qui m'entourent. Dans le cadre d'un cours, mon but serait d'accompagner l'élève vers une meilleure maitrise de son art et de l'aider à découvrir de nouveaux artistes, points de vue, représentations,... dans l'acceptance de son niveau actuel comme part obligatoire de son processus artistique.

J'ai également de bonnes capacités en orthographe pour le français, je suis minutieuse et perfectionniste dans le travail tout en gardant la bonne humeur et le sourire (sous le masque). Pour les élèves de primaire, je peux faire tout type de suivi et d'aide aux devoirs sans distinction de matière, en ayant l'approche la plus pédagogique possible. Pour les secondaires, une discussion préalable est préférable au niveau de la matière abordée.

Le français est ma langue maternelle et j'ai également un très bon niveau en anglais, ainsi que des bases qui mériteraient d'être réactivées en néerlandais et en espagnol.

Egg tempera is one of the most ancient historical art painting technique. It preserved as a main technique to paint orthodox religious icons. It is possible to learn it and paint your own icon. I have 12 years of practice teaching people how to do it. We work together step by step to understand the technique, the way to prepare wooden panel to paint an icon and the techniques of making a good project to make the icon fit to the board. We also learn how to make gold leaf layer on the halos. Your icon will be a real, crafted icon.
