A-level Further Maths is probably the best subject you can do. It's the mot fun and it's also the most rewarding. It goes into the most depth, and it is the broadest of all. During teaching, we'll go over different topics such as complex numbers, vectors, matrices, 3-D geometry, calculus, mechanics, statistics, and other intriguing ideas that have to be learned. We'll start from a fundamental concept, theorem, technique - and then build up from there as we move forward. We'll question everything that we do and the validity of each proof. We'll try to go into as much depth as we can, to build sound understanding of the mathematics behind the ideas that we'll discuss. You'll have to be curious and not hesitate to put in some work to get better - but it's definitely possible, if done in the right way.

A-levels can seem hard. It's quite a big step-up from GCSE's, and you may have found that the workload has significantly increased and you can't fully understand what's going on like you want to. As a student, you'll have to understand concepts and master techniques such as algebra, calculus, geometry, mechanics and statistics. I teach all these things the way I learned them. I'll be asking questions during classes, and we'll hopefully get you to be able to answer them. It's okay not to know the answers straightaway, as what matters is how your way of thinking develops and adapts to mathematics/physics. With some time, you'll be able to solve more complicated problems and answer my challenging questions. With some effort, you will build a deep and broad understanding of the techniques, theorems, experiments and models that we'll discuss.
