Je suis Léa, formatrice expérimentée en français, littérature, rédaction, expression orale et Histoire, avec une passion pour le cinéma et l’histoire. Je propose des cours adaptés à chaque élève, car le secret de la réussite est de s’adapter au rythme, aux besoins et aux objectifs de chacun.

J’enseigne parce que transmettre le savoir et voir mes élèves progresser me passionne. Mon objectif est de rendre chaque séance interactive, motivante et enrichissante, en mêlant théorie et pratique, références littéraires et cinématographiques, et analyses détaillées pour l’Histoire.

J’ai ensuite travaillé 10 ans dans le domaine de l’assurance IARD, occupant différents postes : expert en assurances, responsable technique, puis formatrice spécialisée en fraude et responsable du contrôle qualité et du contrôle continu des équipes. History and politics have always been a passion of mine and I am very much willing to teach anyone who desires any tutoring. At times it can be very difficult and overwhelming if you need to make an exam or write an essay - I can be there to help in case you need guidance! The goal here would be to make you understand history better, organize patterns in your head and possibly make you love the subject! This should definitely help in either expanding your worldview, or enhancing your history grades. I am willing to teach history (or politics/maatschappijleer) in Dutch or English.

I have little preference in regard to eras or themes in history, but if you must know I especially enjoy political and military macro-history. The grand patterns throughout history fascinate me, with of course, attention to large events. No era or area is particularly strange to me, again, being able to process history is the goal here!

The grand goal is to get a basic, intermediate or advanced understanding in one of the subjects. I could, possibly, rehearse with you and ask you how fluent you are in the topics at hand. I am fully willing to adapt to the student his or her academic needs. In case you wish me to help you in structuring or writing a history essay, then this, too is no problem!

I completed the IB DP with a consistent 7/ high 6 in Higher Level History, and this has always been one of my favorite subjects. I am very good at this subject and have somewhat of a passion for it. I have a very good grasp of what is expected from the IB students as pertains to this subject, and I know the ins and outs of the criteria and the weird and wonderful little ways in which the IB expects the students to perform. I am able to help with any course work, homework, assignments, or assessments. As pertains to the DP students, I also did my EE on a History topic so I can assist there if need be. I am also a tutor in English and as comprehensive writing and legibility is a large part of what is expected from IB History students, I can offer particular insight into how to best write and get arguments across.

I teach and understand the concern of each student before the beginning of any session and plan a blueprint for my students individually as every case is unique. Ik heb ruime ervaring met het geven van bijles en het begeleiden van leerlingen bij verschillende organisaties. In de afgelopen jaren heb ik gewerkt met leerlingen van uiteenlopende niveaus, waarbij ik heb gemerkt dat ik veel energie haal uit het uitleggen van lesstof en het vergroten van zelfvertrouwen bij leerlingen.

Mijn interesse en passie liggen vooral bij de vakken geschiedenis, aardrijkskunde en maatschappijleer/burgerschap. Ik vind het belangrijk om deze vakken niet alleen inhoudelijk duidelijk uit te leggen, maar ook te laten zien hoe ze aansluiten bij de actualiteit en de belevingswereld van leerlingen. Daarbij besteed ik veel aandacht aan structuur, overzicht en het aanleren van effectieve leerstrategieën.

Op dit moment volg ik de master Bestuurskunde aan de Universiteit Leiden. Deze opleiding sluit goed aan bij mijn interesse in politiek, bestuur en maatschappelijke vraagstukken en versterkt mijn vakinhoudelijke kennis, die ik ook inzet tijdens mijn bijlessen.

Mijn manier van begeleiden is rustig, geduldig en persoonlijk. Ik neem de tijd om te achterhalen waar een leerling tegenaan loopt en pas mijn uitleg daarop aan. Het doel is niet alleen betere resultaten, maar ook meer zelfvertrouwen en motivatie.

Ik kan goed ondersteunen en bijles geven, maar ben niet persee gespecialiseerd in de schoolvakken. Maar met het goed doornemen van het schoolwerk, slaag ik er altijd wel in om de leerling te voorzien van goede ondersteuning met goede resultaten.
