I come from Taiwan, Formosa, where Mandarin Chinese is an official language using traditional Chinese characters.
I learned Chinese as a foreign language at National Taiwan University, an institution that practices and studies the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language very thoroughly, training both Taiwanese students who wish to become Chinese teachers abroad, and foreign students who want to learn Chinese quickly and efficiently.
My teaching style is always warm, lively and dynamic. I have several years of experience teaching Chinese to foreign students, beginners as well as advanced (particularly in Geneva, as well as with foreign and Chinese-speaking children at the Le Rosey Institute), and almost 10 years of experience teaching Spanish online via Zoom.
For beginner students, I use French and Chinese at the same time, slowing down the speaking rate in Chinese; for advanced students, I use Chinese 100%, and if there is difficulty, I explain in French in a simple and clear way.
Both traditional and simplified Chinese characters are available, as well as Taiwanese phonetic notation (Zhuyin/Bopomofo) and Chinese Pinyin.
Homework will be provided to help students progress and learn to write Chinese characters.
