About Me

Hi there, nice to meet you!

My name is Jan and I grew up in Germany, but I currently live in Belgium. I have been an international student for the past 6 years and received my Bachelor's degree in Communication and Information Studies in the Netherlands. My Bachelor's program and my current Master's program are taught in English, and I have lived, traveled, and worked in Native English-speaking countries (New Zealand, Australia, and Canada) for more than a year. I am fluent in English and German, and I am also proficient in French and Dutch, and I speak a bit of Vietnamese too.

Growing up speaking two languages, German and Vietnamese, I have always been fascinated with learning more about languages and learning to speak more languages. Along the way, I have also taken a liking to teaching people what I know about the languages that I know. Throughout my travels around the world and my academic journey, I realized the gift of being multilingual, and I am hoping to share this gift with everyone who is open to it. Apart from language, I take an interest in a wide variety of fields - music, sports, arts, history, science, and much more - which I am happy to integrate into the curriculum as well.

About me personally, I am a fun-loving, easy-going, and optimistic person who enjoys spending time with my loved ones, engaging in outside activities, but also staying inside to watch movies & series, to read a good book, or to practice drawing. As a teacher, I would say my biggest strengths are my flexibility and my patience. My goal is to make your learning experience as enjoyable as possible and, of course, to see you succeed!

If l'élève learns Spanish or knows it, we will continue with the manuel scolaire and ajouterons beaucoup d'oraux.
