About Me

Since childhood, I have always been passionate about teaching. I often told my parents that I wanted to open my own private school because I wanted to learn (and someday teach) otherwise.
I never understood why history lessons were taught through books and "dictations" instead of movies, plays, and games.
After all, courses or not, there were always "stories", and who says history says pleasure. I think this philosophy applies to everything, and that all learning can become fun and therefore much more effective if you put your heart into it. Each student is unique and has different interests. As a teacher, I am committed to determining the most appropriate method for teaching each one. The lessons will be interactive and will be based on daily feedback from the student. This exchange will be the very basis of the course and will direct its trajectory.

Experience / Qualifications

I have experience teaching both children and adults. As a matter of fact, I volunteered at a Summer Camp in Bizerte sponsored by Amideast, in which I taught English to children aged between 6 and 12 years old. The teaching was very unconventional, in a positive way, as it revolved mainly around fun activities, songs, and games.
My experience with adults is, on the other hand, quite different. I have offered private lessons to some adult students. The English was either conversational or for specific purposes (Ex: Business English). I also also worked as a teacher at the Language Center Erasme.
My skills in teaching have also been honed by my community service involvement. As a co-founder and member of ASSEHLD (Association for the Support and Schooling of Children Hospitalized for Long Term), I have participated in teaching several children at the Hospital of Aziza Othmana, in Tunis. I was also a Teacher Assistant back in the United States during my exchange year.
Living with a host family, studying in a foreign school, being active in numerous associations and involved in many trainings and workshops have helped me build strong relationships and learn how to teach English in creative ways.
