Piano is surely amongst the most interesting instrument in the world for a simple reason: compared to the other instruments that are usually limited to one voice, piano uses the ten fingers at the same time, giving hundreds of possibilities of different voicings and harmony.

I am a French student studying in the Hague. My passion has always been piano. I did 9 years in a French music academy where I finished the entire curriculum. I have been teaching piano to 4 students the two last years in London and I am willing to continue transmitting my passion now that I am in the Hague.

I teach piano to people of all age, without omitting to mention a little bit of music theory so that students get a clear understanding of the instrument they are playing. All this in a fun way! For example, understanding and analyzing how modern tubes and hit songs are made is a fun way to learn music without necessarily using a more conventional method. My students can play whatever music they want, from classical pieces, to jazz themes, all the way to modern tic-toc songs, I always let them play what they want. The most important is to enjoy, this is the really key to progress.

I am 21 years old and currently study at Leiden university, in The Hague. Piano is my passion since I was 4 years old and my goal by teaching this wonderful instrument is to transmit this passion to potential musicians. I do not expect my students to reach perfection and study intensely. First and foremost, I expect them to enjoy while learning the instrument, while progressing, at their own pace.

Hi! I am a professional violinist, and chamber and orchestra player. I have extensive experience as a violin teacher and music theory teacher. I am an open teacher and violinist, therefore I like to teach different kinds of music, such as classical, rock, folk, alternative, etc. I am flexible and I like to adapt to the goals of the students. However, I specialize in students with some experience. I can prepare for Conservatory exams as well. I got my Bachelor's degree in Conservatorio Superior de Vigo ( Spain ) and my master's Degree in Utrecht Conservatorium.

I am a viola and violin teacher who graduated from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague with a specialization in Education, as a three-year minor course as part of the Bachelor of Music. I am currently studying for my master's at Codarts Rotterdam.

I am a professional classical pianist, accompanist, creator, and composer with a Bachelor's Degree from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and a Master's Degree from the Royal Conservatorium in the Hague. For 7 years now, I have been teaching students of all levels between 5 and 60 years old.

Lessons are based on your level, interests, and goals. Together we can find out if you are keener on classical repertoire, or if you want to play your favorite pop music, some beautiful soundtrack from a movie you like or compose/improvise new pieces. With my experience in teaching diverse genres, I will help you explore the music that you like.

The central pillars I always work with are technique and creativity, which are much more connected than you would expect! While we advance, I also introduce the basics (or more deeply, if you are interested) of music theory to learn to communicate with each other in musical terms (chords, keys, score reading, etc.). And above all, the goal is to enjoy and have fun!

The present course is tutored by a Classical Singer and a Classical Pianist, both study connected to the Royal Conservatory Den Haag.

It is preferred to work weekly to optimize results. The singing, and main teacher, is always present to assure the vocal progression. The piano coach will be present as often as requested by the student/advised by the teacher. The pupils will then have the best piano accompaniment.

The main objective of the course is to work accordingly with the student's goals to give a well-driven direction to our study.

The course it's thought with classic technical basics (healthy vocal benefits) but other styles can be added like the musical, jazz, cabaret, etc...

Each case will have a personalized answer. The teachers' connection to the Royal Conservatory also ensures that complex problems can be solved by asking the highest experts.

> Lesson structure:

✓ The lessons start with body/posture awareness, movement and breathing exercises followed by an individual set of vocalizes that may incorporate some scales, cords and/or improvisation.

✓ After the warm-up, depending on the student's level and goals, some song methods may fallow and/or the repertoire on which we decided to work.

✓ While working on the pieces several kinds of information will be provided:

• The Anatomy of the Voice (body, breathing, vocal cord, resonances, prevention and counseling about vocal disorders);

• Language and Phonetic knowledge of Italian, French, German, English, Spanish and Portuguese (+ strategies to enable singing in other languages).

• Vocal Interpretation, phrase, prosody, colors, coordination with the piano and tools how to personalize the 'message', among others based on appropriate bibliography;

• Drama basics, stage preparation, and fright avoidance strategies.

• Music Theory and History in order to understand the pieces more deeply through a quick analysis, period and style.

✓ At the end of each season (non-mandatory) public auditions can be arranged whenever an artistic space would be willing to receive great voices and repertoire. This works as progressive training for students individually and/or coupled - ensemble skills.

The lessons can be given in English, Spanish and Portuguese. They can be held at the teacher's location or at the student's address.

Moreover, I have taught young violinists in Elementary Schools, (e.g. Fairview Elementary School) and also collegiate students in the Jacobs School of Music (US). In Spain, I have teaching experience in several music schools instructing violinists ranging from 3 to 70 years of age. I have also worked with ADHD and autistic students with a great passion for violin playing and music-making.

I hold a master's in Violin Performance at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag and in Psychology and Music (UNED). I have an excellent command of English, and Dutch and a good working knowledge of French. I base my teaching method on Suzuki and Galamian methods, which I combine with a wide repertoire of progressive violin pieces.

This is one of the reasons why I love to play the piano, its versatility adapts to my everyday mood.

Lessons
Every student is different, and by saying this I mean that I prepare every lesson specifically for each student. Some might be more shy, others might need more time to acknowledge some questions.
I believe that music (much like everything else) should be taught with patience and motivation.
You shouldn’t feel like you’re going against time, it should be the opposite. As a teacher, I always give priority to your motivation and excitement regarding the lesson’s activity. If I see that a student is not enjoying the lesson I have to improvise and turn it around.

When teaching, the most important thing for me is that you learn while having fun.
I have already some years of experience in giving piano lessons to people of all ages. I adapt the lesson content for every student individually, and I always give them the freedom to follow their musical taste and instincts. I also give a lot of focus to creativity and improvisation.
At the end of the lesson, I usually save a few minutes for the student to decide what he/she wants to do: maybe a little 4-hand improvisation, or maybe play a piece they have already learned and that they enjoy playing.

About me
Most of my studies and experience as a teacher took place in Portugal. I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance in 2020.
I moved to The Netherlands in 2020 to attend the Master Program in Classical Piano Performance in the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague.
My academic studies were built on classical music but I also have some experience in pop and rock music.

During my Bachelor's training in Classical Horn I have trained in different educational skills techniques as well as in teaching ensembles and basic conducting.

There's also the opportunity to learn about Harmony and Keyboard Voicings (chords/harmony and chord melody). These methods can be put into practice with Harmony Progressions (including with your own compositions/songs, etc.) to see how Harmony works with the concept of Functional Harmony and beyond.

We discuss where your musical preference lies and which way we are going. In any case, fun is paramount!

For beginners and early levels, I use a three-core approach that keeps things creative and well-rounded: music reading, free accompaniment & improvisation and solid technical foundations. This method helps students develop not just skills, but real musical confidence from day one.

With over 10 years of teaching experience, I hold a Master of Music from the Royal Conservatory, and during my bachelor's studies, I trained partly in Finland, where I was introduced to the inspiring methodology of the Finnish piano school. The Finnish approach is all about fostering creativity, musical sensitivity, and strong technique in a natural and encouraging way — and that philosophy guides every lesson I give.

As students progress, we continue to develop technical control while putting a stronger focus on musicality, interpretation, and artistic expression. Whether you're preparing for auditions, exams, or simply want to deepen your connection with music, you'll find both structure and inspiration here.

For beginners and advanced players, I use the piano method: Microjazz (R&B/Pop & Harmony!). Microjazz also offers an online audio (play along), so you can play the pieces at home with the online audio accompaniment.

There's also the opportunity to learn about Harmony and Keyboard Voicings (chords/harmony and chord melody). These methods can be put into practice with Harmony Progressions (including with your own compositions/songs, etc.) to see how Harmony works with the concept of Functional Harmony and beyond.

We discuss where your musical preference lies and which way we are going. In any case, fun is paramount!

Classes are for all levels and ages. Online classes are also available via WhatsApp, etc.
