English Tutoring by a certified TEFL teacher from London

As a non-native English Proficiency Speaker (C2), I am fully familiar with the difficulties of learning English as a second language and as a student I am familiar with the hardships and learning progress.
I have been certified as a TESOL CERTF teacher and have had experience in giving lessons in a class of 15 students at summer language schools or 1to1 lessons!
My focus during the session is to establish the target language and focus on familiarising it to the students. The class duration is 60 minutes and involves targeting the students goals but including the student's needs.
I give out homework because it is my believe that 'Repetitio est mater studiorum'- repetition is the main key to making a progress in learning!
I understand that learning a non-native and unfamiliar language can be overwhelming thus I try to take the class sessions slowly, including the repetition of the main problem until it is understood, however, I do like to encourage my students to push themselves to a new challenge.
The classes are taught solely in English, since that is the target language!

I am a student at Royal Holloway University of London. My field of study is European and International Studies (French) and I am currently on my year abroad in Brussels. I am an intern at the European Parliament at the Language Unit where I get to work in the translation process from English to French and vice versa.
My passion is Environmental Change and its connection to political actors, more specifically I am very interested in the maritime law and creating the binding international law or observing organisation that will control the international waters and seas. Furthermore, I take great interest in immigration induced by the environmental problems, socio-political and economical hardships.
I would say that I am a very easy going, friendly person even though I seem very strict and unapproachable at first!
I love good, positive atmosphere and therefore I like to have it during my class, so that the learning process becomes fun and motivated rather than scary and dull.

I have worked during summer in prestigious summer language schools such as Beadles School, UK where I have worked with mid-sized to large-sized classes of students with various backgrounds and ages. I have also given many individual lesson, mainly for the exam preparations such as TESOL, IELTS etc., but also for the preparation of high school exams.
