Are you looking forward to refine your Italian/German/English conversational proficiency? Do you look forward to replenish your vocabulary and be able to more satifyingly express yourself in one/more of these languages? Sometimes language textbooks spread linguistic knowledge of a more "formal" kind that often misses the daily word-choice and expressions-usage of native speakers. I can provide you an extremely vast array of every-day handy phrases, idioms and expressions in Italian, German and English that will eventually become part of your vocabulary and help you to express yourself exactly in the way you want by following your interests. On the other hand, I can also assist you with translations or homework in English, German or Italian and supply you with useful tips if you want to enhance your writing skills. I am a master's degree student at Uppsala University and have 5 years experience teaching English at all levels in private schools, as a licensed teacher and freelancer. The lessons will be always tailored to your needs and interests! If you are interested do not hesitate to contact me, It would be amazing to get to know you^^

Hej! Привіт! My name is Oleksii and I'm a Ukrainian student studying International Relations who came for exchange to Uppsala, Sweden, in order to become a part of the Department of Peace and Conflict Research for the next half year. Previously I've had almost 2 years of peer coaching experience - working with American and European students who want to improve their either Russian or Ukrainian skills. Moreover, I can speak Arabic a bit which can help engage students from the Middle East, for instance. I prefer mostly providing real language practice (namely walking around the city and speaking about mutually interesting topics in Ukrainian) however I'll be glad to explain you certain grammar or vocabulary points if you need this. It would be great if we not only concentrate on the language itself, but also look at a broader socio-political situation in Ukraine and the region.

Bonjour! My name is Flora and I am currently an exchange student at the University of Uppsala for my last year of bachelor. My studies deal with both history and political sciences. I come from Paris where I have four years of tutoring experience! My parents, both teachers, have shared with me their passion for knowledge transfer. Learning a new language only requires patience and optimism! Indeed, I adapt my lessons to students' difficulties and capabilities to help them improve in my mother tongue. My method is based on students' abilities and interests to manipulate all aspects of the language. The level shall not be a matter of self-censorship. In this way, I always take into account all demands if the person wants to focus on some points, in view of an exam for instance.

NOT AVAILABLE FOR NEW STUDENTS, SORRY! Vill du prata svenska? I have a background in languages/linguistics and several years of experience in teaching Swedish. I offer tailored classes as well, but this is my "budget version" where I don't spend any time planning the class. This class is suitable for the independent learner with at least basic knowledge of Swedish. You bring any material that you would like help with, any topics that you would like to talk about, or any questions that you have about Swedish, and we talk about them spontaneously. I can also help you with pronunciation - both "in the moment" and through specific exercises. Right now I cannot take on any new students, but possibly I will be available in summer.

Education: I hold a PhD in Physics and Applied Mathematics from the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen. Focus of my project was modeling and understanding the glacial cycles using mathematical models. During my PhD, I have collaborated with researchers in Applied Mathematics from different research groups in Europe. I also hold a Bachelor and Master's degrees in Physics. I graduated full marks with honours in Physics from La Sapienza, University of Rome. Work & teaching experience: Since my university studies, I have been working or volunteering as a Math and Physics tutor, helping mostly high schools and college students. During my PhD at Copenhagen University, I was teaching assistant in 3 Full Master's Degree courses. I also worked as a high school math teacher. Other work experience include content creation (Physics explanations) and research. What I have learnt from my experience as a tutor: I believe it is only when you are able to explain difficult concepts in a clear and simple way, that you can consider yourself a good teacher! I did not have a good math teacher when I was in high school. I recall almost hating doing my Math homework! Luckily, after taking a few math classes with a really good tutor, I changed my mind completely. And here I am :-) Class description: depending on the student's background and preferences, I usually prepare some material (theory, exercises, examples, etc...) that the student can use to strengthen their skills. I am also available outside the class for homework and support.
