My name is Gregor and I am a pianist and a piano teacher. I can help you or your children dive into the magical world of music. Through weekly individual lessons, you will develop skills of listening to, understanding, and playing music either as beginners, students preparing for entrance exams, or adult amateur pianists.

After finishing studies at four conservatories around Europe (Slovenia, Italy, Croatia, and The Netherlands), I am pursuing a musical career based in The Hague. Eight years of teaching experience allow me to adapt the teaching process to the individual needs of the student and my active concert career keeps my enthusiasm fresh.

I am a Slovenian pianist and teacher, currently residing in The Netherlands. My explorations of music have left me with a broad repertoire, stretching from 18th to 21st century. My interest lies in complexity of music and searching for poeticism and aesthetics, based on honesty rather than previously set out rules.

I studied Slovenia, Italy, Croatia and the Netherlands with renowned teachers Naum Grubert, Ruben Dalibaltayan, Hinko Haas and members of Trio di Parma. I received Prešern prize and Diploma Summa cum Laude from Academy of Music in Ljubljana for outstanding musical achievements during studies.

As a soloist with orchestras, I have performed, among others with Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, Ljubljana Opera and Ballet Orchestra and Valerius Orchestra, The Hague. I play on numerous recitals in Netherlands, Slovenia, Italy, Croatia, Spain and Romania, among others with internationally successful musicians, such as Tibor Molnar, Joachim Eijlander, Gilles Apap. The longest standing chamber group, I play in, is Piano Trio GUD, which has been playing many concerts around Europe for the last ten years.

I have competed on many competitions – as a chamber musician and a soloist and am prizewinner of Alberto Bertolini piano competition in Milan (2014), Cammeristi dell’ Alpe-Adria in Majano, Italy (2014), International Chamber music competition in Bled, Slovenia (2010) and many others.

My career so far has given me a unique perspective on the art of mentoring
young musicians. I have learned about the importance of the balance between guiding the students and letting them explore; the balance between the rational, explained through analysis of pieces, performance principles, etc. and the intuitive, which is emphatically transmitted through examples; and the balance between physical and spiritual aspects of musicianship

I started playing the piano when I was 8 years old. By that time I already could feel I would become a professional musician and teacher. I got my first bachelor in piano in 2007. When I was 13 years old, I started having harpsichord lessons and expanding my knowledge of classical and early music. In 2012 I got my bachelor degree in harpsichord and in 2014 my master degree at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. Currently, I’m working with my ensemble, teaching piano and harpsichord, and am now doing my Ph.D. in Performative Arts at Leiden University

I absolutely love to teach and pass my experience as a musician to my students on both instruments. I like to see them improving and have fun while playing.
I work with several ways of teaching, depending on the student level and music background.

Normally I work with piano methods with kids from 9 -12 years old. I can teach music theory if necessary and if it will improve the student’s needs to progress and reach their goals, I do that with pleasure. Harmony and a bit of keyboard improvisation are also very welcome to the class.

My specialty is classical music, more specifically, baroque music, although I have notions of pop, jazz, and improvisation. Because I have sporting and personal training backgrounds, I’m specialized also on correcting postures and eventually avoid or solve pain issues when regarding playing.

Beginners- will learn how to read music (simple piano pieces) , and basic piano techniques (scales, apregios) with some music theory.

Intermediate - more advanced piano techniques (etudes, inventions) and repertoire. Working on musical phrases and developing personal sound. Learning how to use the right/left pedals.

Advanced- learning more complex repertoire, including a variety of etudes, preludes and fugues, and medium duration piano compositions.

Japanese professional pianist, conductor and composer, graduated at Conservatoire du Paris, Tokyo University of Arts and Fontys, I give music lessons according to the needs (including the place of the lesson) of each student.
I have been teacher at Conservatoire de Paris (CNSM) for 8 years. Currently I work sometimes at Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag.
As my parents who are both chorus conductor and music teacher, teaching is always my big passion beside of my activity on stage ! It's my great pleasure to support each student to find his (her) way to enjoy the music. I am an American harpist holding degrees in harp from the University of North Carolina, the National Conservatory of France in Lyon, and currently studying at the Koninklijk Conservatorium den Haag. I am happy to teach students of any age and skill level in the Hague area, either at my home or yours! I am able to teach all styles of playing from classical to jazz and pop, and I am happy to cater my teaching to the interests of the student. I am fluent in English and French.

Piano is surely amongst the most interesting instrument in the world for a simple reason: compared to the other instruments that are usually limited to one voice, piano uses the ten fingers at the same time, giving hundreds of possibilities of different voicings and harmony.

I am a French student studying in the Hague. My passion has always been piano. I did 9 years in a French music academy where I finished the entire curriculum. I have been teaching piano to 4 students the two last years in London and I am willing to continue transmitting my passion now that I am in the Hague.

I teach piano to people of all age, without omitting to mention a little bit of music theory so that students get a clear understanding of the instrument they are playing. All this in a fun way! For example, understanding and analyzing how modern tubes and hit songs are made is a fun way to learn music without necessarily using a more conventional method. My students can play whatever music they want, from classical pieces, to jazz themes, all the way to modern tic-toc songs, I always let them play what they want. The most important is to enjoy, this is the really key to progress.

I specialize in teaching piano and music when I was at conservatory where I studied for over 20 years. With 14 years of experience I found my own methods to make my students learn in a comfortable and creative environment. As a teacher who enjoys learning from student while teaching, I know how important this is to improve when growing up. As soon as my students feel safe and happy I let them putting their own ideas in their development. I have a lot of experience in teaching from a young age (4-5) to grown adults but I am very good with kids and I like working with younger ages a lot!
