You want to be the person who can just pick-up a guitar and play a song everyone can sing along to?
Do you want to be able to play (and sing) a song after hearing it once or twice?
Impress your friends or your lover by playing their favorite songs.

I teach you:
- How to hold and play the guitar
- How to play your favorite songs
- The skills to learn guitar on your own
- How to warm up (playing guitar or singing)
- Breathing and singing exercises to improve your singing

I might not be able to turn you into a pro. But I'll teach you the first steps to getting there yourself!

A bit about me:
I study for music therapist, so I know how to engage in converstation. If you have special needs, I know how to respect those and teach you how to deal with them (musically)

My goal is to do this outside of my school hours, so I'm pretty flexible when it comes to weekends and evenings as wel!

I'm a spiritual person; that means I'm also open for your religion (if you have one) ;)
I'm 24 years old with an obvious passion for music. Hit me up if you have any questions.

If you need help finding your first guitar I can advise you on that. Let's talk about your budget and options and we will settle on an agreement for the price of my advise.
Informations supplémentaires
A phone or laptop could come in handy but it's not a must during our lesson. You need your own guitar offcourse.

I am a French historical and modern horn player based in The Hague. I have played the Horn since I was 4 years old and I have two Master's degrees in modern horn and natural horn. I offer you lessons on modern and historical instruments, as well as music theory.

I work with all ages, all levels, and all objectives, and I can even work with other brass. If you want to discover the instrument or perfect it, if you need theory support or practice help, I will adapt my methods to your needs to offer you quality musical time!

I have taught children and adults since 2017, and I truly love leading people their way to enjoyable, musical, and informed brass playing.

My lessons include warmups, technique, working on pieces of various repertoire, playing in duo with me, and more. For music theory, I like to come up with playful exercises of my own according to the student's needs and level.
Horns are so fun !! Discover new instruments, sounds, techniques, and styles.

Guitar is often taught through the memorization of shapes and repetitive exercises. While these tools can be useful, they do not necessarily help us understand what we are actually doing musically or how the instrument itself really works.

In these lessons, I will help you develop both technical and musical awareness from the very beginning by connecting the ear to the instrument. Rather than separating creativity from technique, we will gradually integrate rhythm, harmony, improvisation, theory, and repertoire into practical music-making!

Guitar is an amazing instrument to quickly delve into musical repertoire while progressively developing a broader understanding of both music and the instrument itself. Furthermore, aside from learning the basics, I will show you catchy grooves, creative accompaniment techniques, and beautiful chord variations across a broad variety of styles ranging from Pop, Rock, Blues, and Folk to Jazz, Prog, Fusion, and World Music.
[According to the style, we can also work with loops and effects.]

Over the years, I have worked with students of different ages, levels, and backgrounds through private lessons, workshops, ensemble coaching, and conservatory teaching, repeatedly experiencing the effectiveness of approaching the instrument through creativity, embodiment, and audiation. A crucial part of this approach is that learning becomes more engaging, musical, and ultimately, more enjoyable.

The lessons will be custom made for each student. Whether you are taking your very first steps on the instrument or looking to deepen your musical understanding, I will adapt to your learning rhythm while keeping you challenged at the same time. You will receive regular feedback, advice, guidance, and materials.

My name is Carla Peña and I come from Barcelona. Since I was a child, music has played an important role in my life. I started learning music when I was 4 years old and cello when at the age of 6. I discovered my love for music and that is what I share with my students.
I have around 15 pupils of all levels and ages and I teach at my own studio (De Constant Rebecquestraat 3) or at your place!
If you are in The Hague area and you want to learn the cello or improve your playing, you are welcome to do lessons with me!

FIRST LESSON:
The first lesson consists of getting to know each other. This is essential to choose the best teaching approach. All the students are unique, that is why I always choose the method that adapts better to your needs. Then, we elaborate a personal plan, depending on your level, expectations, practice time, and taste.

TECHNIQUE:
Learning the proper technique of the instrument is very important to avoid injuries and to be able to express ourselves and perform our musical ideas in a successful way. That is why we learn nice songs in different styles, depending on your taste (from classical to jazz, film music, pop, etc.) and we combine it with cello method books with progressive exercises to improve the cello knowledge.
In the case of young beginners, we also play cello games during the lesson to make the learning experience dynamic and fun! Children can lose attention and get bored very quickly!

Playing together is an essential part of enjoying music. Therefore, the last part of the lesson always consists of playing cello duets and having fun!

ABOUT ME:

I studied my Bachelor in Conservatori Superior del Liceu in Barcelona, with professor Amparo Lacruz. Then, I decided to continue my studies at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague in the class of Michel Strauss and Jan-Ype Nota.
During my studies in The Hague, I did a teaching internship at the Royal Conservatory as a part of their Minor in Music Education. I also taught in several Music Schools during my studies in Spain.
Currently, I teach private students in The Hague and I created a cultural center in The Hague called Pandora Studio.
I play regularly in two chamber music ensembles: Trio Jakob and Azalaïs Quartet.

NL:

Personal music lessons in The Hague and online, for complete beginners to advanced musicians. I teach guitar and songwriting, composition, music production, improvisation, and music theory.

Instead of following a fixed curriculum, I work with each student on music that truly suits them. Together, we look at what you want to achieve, explore what stands in your way, and find practical ways to move forward.

My lessons are aimed at developing creative, versatile, and independent musicians: understanding why something works, experimenting with ideas, and confidently finding your own path in music.

Lessons last an hour and usually take place once a week. We often start with an introductory lesson, after which we can set a goal in consultation and work together on your skills in a targeted manner. At the end of the lesson, you will receive practical exercises or ideas to continue with independently.

The lessons are available in Dutch, English, and French.

If you have any questions about the lessons, feel free to send me a message.

Do you like classical music but feel a little intimidate by it? Or maybe you’ve been listening for a while but now you’d like to dig a little deeper in the music of Bach, Beethoven and Brahms?

During these listening sessions I will offer you some context about the piece, and some tools to listen to it more carefully, so you can learn and enjoy the music with a new perspective.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re just starting your journey or you already have musical training. You can propose the repertoire you would like to explore, or I can make a suggestion to start with.
