I am a first-year at Durham University with years of experience tutoring younger students. My main focus areas are Biology, Geography, History and French, but I am happy to tutor most subjects! I will provide past paper questions, helpful advice, and tips for exams, as well as tailoring lessons to students’ specific needs and abilities.

As a native English speaker, I am fully proficient in the language. I am also bilingual from birth, and speak various languages now. I have worked with refugee children where there was a language barrier, as well as in local schools where we did not speak the same language. I have also volunteered to help French primary school students improve their English.
This all means that I am not only very familiar with the language, but also that I have lots of experience teaching English. I can adapt classes to the student’s needs and ability level, providing work to help them focus on their problem areas, whether those are speaking, reading, writing, or other. I will provide progress reports to parents (if applicable) and adapt my approach if/when needed.

Driven by a desire to share knowledge, I am committed to making my courses unique, practical, interactive, and personalized. Holding several degrees, including an engineering degree from Polytechnique and a teaching qualification in mathematics, my industrial experience brings a practical dimension to my teaching methods.

Before the first lesson, the student is invited to send me their questions and difficulties and one or two examples so that I can prepare a tailor-made lesson.
The course will include a theoretical explanation, an application to real-life situations, and of course, exercises. This aims to increase the student's interest and motivation.

Explanations can be given in French, Dutch, English, or Spanish, as I am qualified to teach in all four languages thanks to my degrees obtained in different countries. This has also familiarized me with different cultures and teaching methods.

I offer Social Sciences lessons where students can enjoy learning while developing a deeper understanding of the world around them. Lessons can be taught in both English and Spanish, depending on the student’s needs.

I specialise in teaching in both languages and have experience working with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, the Spanish National curriculum, and the European curriculum.

If you study at a Spanish school, I can support you with Social Sciences subjects in English and/or Spanish, as well as provide English conversation lessons to help improve fluency and confidence.
