Welcome to my piano teaching studio! I am a professional pianist offering private piano and theory lessons for students of all levels. As a pianist with over 14 years of teaching experience in Europe and the USA, as well as over 23 years of playing/performing, I enjoy motivating my students with music of their own preferred style and interest, whether that be classical or contemporary. My main goal is to promote a positive experience and love for music-making during the learning process. If the student is interested in a more structured approach, I guide preparation for grades 1-8 of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and music theory exams where my students consistently receive highest marks. I also have successful experience preparing students for conservatory entrance auditions, masterclasses, and competitions in the Europe, the USA, India, and Canada. We have class concerts at Pianos Maene for interested students twice per year. I am happy to provide either a more relaxed or a serious approach to learning piano, we simply need to discuss the personal goals and preferences of each student.

My own studies are as follows: I have obtained two postgraduate performance degrees at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp: "Concertsoloist" in Piano Performance and "Chamber Music” (under the guidance of esteemed professor Sergei Edelmann). Prior to this, I received my Bachelor and Masters degrees in Piano Performance/Music from the University of Minnesota - Minneapolis (with Prof. Lydia Artymiw) and Texas Christian University, Fort Worth (with Dr. Tamas Ungar). My experience includes collaboration with many different instrumentalists and singers, performing as a soloist and collaborative member in several orchestras, and receiving top prizes in several competitions. While maintaining my performance and recording career in Belgium at present, I am developing my private music studio in central Antwerp and look forward to meeting new students.

Houd je van zingen? Of loop je de hele dag met liedjes in je hoofd? Kom dan op zangles bij Deborah online of in Amstelveen Westwijk. We zingen liedjes uit verschillende landen en tijden. Ook gaan we aan de slag met verschillende ritmes, noten en toonoefeningen.

Als je bezig bent met zingen kan je zelfs een heel ander gevoel hebben en je kunt ervoor zorgen dat je de rest van de dag extra energie hebt.

Je lichaam is je instrument bij het zingen. We proberen dat instrument zo mooi mogelijk te laten klinken ..

Tijdens de zanglessen zijn we ook bezig met articulatie, de uitspraak van vreemde talen en ook aan de betekenis van en je gevoel bij een bepaald stuk. Natuurlijk bepalen we samen wat voor soort muziek je gaat zingen. Ook maken we samen een ontdekkingsreis naar jouw favoriete muziek.

WIE KAN ER LEREN ZINGEN?
Iedereen kan leren zingen. Door de zanglessen zal dat zijn. Also is singing good for relaxation, zowel van lichaam als geest. Zingen is gewoon genieten!

Je m’appelle Carmen et je suis chanteuse d’opéra. J’ai étudié au conservatoire P.I. Chaykovsky à Moscou et le célèbre conservatoire Santa Cecilia à Rome. J’ai suivi de nombreux cours de masterclass en Russie, en Italie et en Autriche avec Edda Moser, Renata Scotto, Nino Machaidze etc. J’étais aussi soliste dans la chorale du Vatican.

I am an Italian soprano, graduated from the Dutch National Opera Academy. I work as a soloist as a freelance singer, and I teach singing to students of different levels and ages for many years.
The most important thing during my lessons is to help the student find a healthy and comfortable way of singing!

Bij pianoles gebruiken wij de boekmethode van Hal Leonard (Kinderen onder 8 het Les- en Speelboek).
Alles wordt stap voor stap uitgelegd en gaandeweg leer je noten lezen en piano leren kennen.

Kijk in het begin samen naar wat voor jou belangrijk is. Welke doelen wil je stellen en wat voelt haalbaar en comfortabel?
We stellen lange termijn doelen van bijvoorbeeld een jaar. Helemaal afgestemd op waar jij nu staat.

Ik ben een Spaanse pianist en componist (MMus afgestudeerd aan Codarts Rotterdam in beide richtingen) met al veel jaren leservaring, en ook zeer actief op het gebied van optredens in diverse contexten.

Hi there,

I’ve been playing guitar since I was 12 and was immediately hooked. Within a year I started playing in youth bands and projects, and during high school I moved to a music school where I began performing with bands and teaching guitar to kids as my first job. I later completed two bachelor’s degrees, the second in jazz guitar, at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Since then I’ve been working full time as a session guitarist, songwriter, and musical director with artists like Karsu, Alain Clark, Ruth Jacott, Jennie Lena, and many others, as well as releasing my own music as an independent artist under my stage name Jessy Hay. I’m extremely passionate about music theory, ear training, and music history, and I try to combine all of these with practical approaches to create a complete package for guitar enthusiasts.

Over the years I’ve developed many methods and seen hundreds of students grow from being stuck on the instrument to becoming full-on improvisers and composers across many genres. I love to combine the theory and improvisation I’ve learned from jazz, together with the groove and rhythm from funk and soul, the attitude from rock, and the production and songwriting skills from pop music. I’m also very interested in Middle Eastern music, for students who want to explore other scales, Maqams, and musical languages. Lessons usually start by discussing the student’s goals and current level, followed by exercises and pieces tailored to their needs. I also provide guidance on instrument setup, tone, and technique, to ensure a solid foundation. My aim is to give students a full 360° view of music: understanding the language, knowing what you’re doing, and developing your own ways of improving by becoming more familiar with both the instrument and the musical language itself.

Vous rêvez peut-être de jouer du piano depuis un certain temps. Vous en avez peut-être joué un peu enfant, mais vous avez arrêté en cours de route. Ou peut-être aimez-vous simplement le son du piano et ses touches noires et blanches, et pensez-vous souvent : « J’aimerais tellement savoir en jouer ».
Mais alors ces pensées surgissent :
« Je n'ai pas assez de temps. »
« L'école de musique est trop loin. »
« Et si c'est trop difficile pour moi ? »
« Mon emploi du temps ne me permet pas de fixer des horaires de cours fixes. »
Voici la bonne nouvelle : vous n’avez plus besoin d’attendre. Le moment est venu de commencer.

La solution ? Des cours de piano en ligne.
En tant que musicienne et professeure de piano, je comprends parfaitement ces difficultés. J'ai moi-même eu du mal avec la structure rigide des écoles de musique traditionnelles et, pendant longtemps, je ne savais pas comment m'entraîner efficacement. Comment progresser sans se sentir submergé ? Comment concilier l'apprentissage de la musique avec un quotidien chargé ?

Par exemple, avant un concert, le trac se manifeste souvent par une respiration superficielle, des tensions ou des pensées qui s'emballent. J'enseigne des exercices de respiration simples qui vous aident à calmer votre système nerveux, à vous recentrer et à vous laisser emporter par la musique plutôt que par la peur.
En intégrant la relaxation et la pleine conscience à votre pratique du piano, vous n'améliorez pas seulement votre technique, vous développez également votre confiance en vous, votre concentration et une relation plus saine avec la musique et avec vous-même.
