My class is about Percussion. Are you someone that would like to learn more about the vast world of Percussion?
I studied classical, Latin, Brazilian percussion and Vibraphone and I am currently working professionally as a percussion player.
I am from Portugal but my studies were done in Rotterdam at Codarts.
My main topics for our lessons are:
-Pandeiro (Brazilian percussion);
-Mallet technique for Marimba and Vibraphone;
-Stick control and Rudiments;
-Snare Drum studies;
-Orchestral Percussion;
-Improvisation on Vibraphone.
Always flexible to design a lesson according to the students interests and needs.

Teaching music has always been part of my musical activity since I am 15. It's a great way of continuously relearn and inspire others that want to learn more about music.
Along my academical path I have found teachers that inspired me and others that unfortunately did not. As a student I clearly felt the difference when a teacher was really there sharing and helping and that made me a good student.
My high school studies were Classical percussion and along that I was teaching kids from the local village Orchestra in Portugal (my hometown). After that I decided move to Rotterdam to study at Codarts, classical percussion and later in the World Music department where I focused more in Latin and Brazilian percussion and Vibraphone. Also during my Bachelor I did two years of music education studies where I had an Internship teaching two individual students and giving Samba Batucada workshops for students from the Havo Muziek en Dans Rotterdam, and at Dalton Den Haag.
