While I was born and raised in New York I have mastered the RATP, switched my morning bagel to a chausson aux pomme, and thus consider myself to be Parisian. I studied anthropology and history at Columbia University where I specialized in French economic political history and society. I am willing to walk French students who are interested in applying to university in the United States through the college process.

The course emphasizes oral practice so that participants can develop their ability to express themselves in situations, familiar or in areas of personal interest.

You will broaden your vocabulary, acquire pronunciation principles and basic grammatical structures, perfect your conversation around simple topics and your understanding through reading text classes and discussing current topics in the English-speaking world.

As a student at a renowned translation school in Paris (ISIT - Higher Institute for Interpretation and Translation), I would like to give English and Spanish courses in German.

I have a lot of experience in these countries (internships of more than six months in Germany, Austria, England, India and Argentina), and I am also, I think, a pretty good pedagogue!

I give a lot of importance to the method, but I am also open to discussion courses.

I have taught English in France and Germany, to both students and adults. As a native speaker of English who has lived in both the British West Indies and on the US' East Coast, I can help you decipher anything from Downton Abbey to Dave Chappelle.

As for German, I became fluent in the language after an intense Masters Program in Schleswig-Holstein, where I lived for 5 years. Thus, I am very familiar with the simplification and adaptation of the language. A practical but fun approach to the language, using associations already present in French or English, is what I think is best.

You'll learn how to communicate and understand orally, as well as in writing. You'll see all aspects of the languages, such as grammar, vocabulary and culture. The classes are tailored to the needs of the students and pedagogy is the key word.
For beginner children & pre-teens, I use games and songs. I really believe that learning with fun is the best way to improve.

For children and teenagers, interactive activities are used as a way to motivate them, help them remember what they have learned in class and make sure they will be able to apply their language skills in real life context.
For the adults lessons, depending on what the students are willing to learn, we can have discussions based on the news, some grammar, writing... I am open to any suggestions, just tell me your needs and I am going to adapt the next lessons for you.
