Violin, viola and music theory lessons available online for all levels of students. I teach beginner to advanced, ABRSM grades and diploma levels. Lessons are designed to be fun and engaging and aim to develop musical expression at all levels.

I am a professional freelance violinist and violist and have enjoyed playing in a variety of different styles, genres and ensembles. I have myself trained at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester and the University of Cambridge.

I'm happy to take on new students for online lessons during these difficult times.

Hi There

I'm a professional musician who loves teaching and has enjoyed being able to perform as well as have a varied teaching career. I've taught music and instruments in schools and privately over the past 20 years and feel lucky to have been able to pass on the joy and benefits of learning and instrument and engaging with music.

I really enjoy giving 1-to-1 lessons and seeing the progression in students at all levels. I've trained students for ABRSM and Trinity/Guildhall exams as well as diplomas and conservatoire entrance exams. I also am happy to give lessons without these goals for a more recreational education.

The benefits of 1-to-1 lessons mean that I'm able to tailor my tuition directly to suit the needs of the student but generally, I teach at all levels with a mixture of technical practices and always music/pieces/tunes right from the beginning. I have a core library of music that I wish my students to learn but also I'm happy to have students bring pieces as well as improvisations.

I have a Bachelor and a Master degree from Geneva Hight school of music. I worked in many of orchestras in Geneva and abroad. I am also a soloist. I give lessons online by skype or by facebook, only online, in english or in french. If you need some basics in solfege, i give also solfege online.

I have instructed students of different age groups in saxophone performance and music theory (including counterpoint, harmony and composition) up until university level, in Spain and the UK. After graduating from Cambridge with a double starred first, taking into consideration my academic results and teaching experience, I have also been selected for inclusion in the Supervisor Registry to teach counterpoint and harmony papers. My approach to lessons is very flexible, and I always try to adapt to the needs and qualities of each student. I believe that communication is essential, and at the beginning of each lesson I ask my students if they found my recommendations from the previous lesson helpful and how they see their progress. After this spoken introduction, we proceed to work on some warm-up and technical exercises. Then, we play some studies and pieces, or go over some music theory exercises, trying to apply the advice from the previous lesson and make further improvements. Finally, we conclude the lesson with a summary, listing the main key points and suggestions and comparing our experience to the previous lessons, trying to find a clear sense of progression and a coherent line of work towards a certain goal. This teleological mindset occupies a central position in my methodology, and I always encourage my students to look ahead and plan a series of stimulating events or challenges to look foward to, such as a concert, a recital, a presentation or an exam.

One of the parts of teaching I most enjoy is the variety of my students’ backgrounds and finding an individual approach that works best for each student. I always do my best to create a supportive, stress-free environment so that the students can have a really fun time learning, while encouraging them to expand their capabilities at a pace that suits them best.

Two keywords form the base of the singing technique I teach: relaxation and engagement. Inspired by the Alexander technique, we need the body to be completely free from any muscle tension before and after producing a sound. Then, to create a sound of quality, the body also needs to be engaged and free. By releasing all the unnecessary tension, you will be able to sing all the arias of your dreams. I will give some weekly exercises in singing and music theory and we will correct them together during the lesson.
I was part of the choir of the French public radio broadcaster for 7 years. I have a diploma in Music theory from the CRR of Boulogne-Billancourt. I even have a degree in Pop music and I am currently finishing my Master's in musical theatre and composition.

My repertoire is obviously classical but also my daily job is playing for Corporate Event, Dinner Presentations, Cocktails Party and Art Galleries . Stoke Park Country Club Buckinghamshire (Wedding), Brunswick House,Cafe' Royal Regent Street, Westfield Stratford and White City are some of the frequent locations where l usually perform. With more than 25 years of experience in classical piano tutoring, my classes programs so combine both instrumental theory and lessons of music history, theory, literature, solfeggio and analisys.
