Hi I’m Ruth. Thanks for stopping by to find out a little more about me. I trained in classical and opera singing at The Royal Northern College of Music, and for the past 7 years have had a career in operetta and musical theatre. Including lead roles in The Mikado, Pilates of Penzance, Iolanthe and HMS Pinafore with the International Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company, The Merry Widow, Babes in Arms, Out Of Of This World, Free As Air, Cinderella and Peter Pan to name a few. Alongside my career I’ve taught singing and acting with RNCM Youth Perform, Enfield Music Service, Bolton Music Service, Artis, Stage Coach and privately at many schools, colleges, and performing schools across the country. Helping students achieve their personal goals as well as desired results in ABRSM, Trinity, LAMDA, GCSE and A Level exams. I specialise in developing vocal and performance technique especially in the genres of musical theatre and classical singing but love teaching all music genres. The most important thing is finding music you love to sing. I also offer advise on the realities of being a working actor, what to expect from an audition and how to prepare for it, building an audition repertoire and acting though song coaching.
