My name is Paolo, I’m an Italian pianist and composer. My musical life started when I was 9, moved by a bit of curiosity I put on a classical music CD, the speakers played Chopin’s 1st Ballade and that was the first time I had goose bumps listening to a music piece. This experience was so strong that I wanted to recreate that feeling, so I started to study piano. The instrument is really good for a first approach to the music; after a little while, with lessons and practice, it’s possibile to play a very simple composition with a great satisfaction. Through out the years I faced many obstacles, especially technical difficulties. I had great teachers who helped me to know and understand the instrument, they also taught me to love the music I was playing without shame for mistakes. Like in sports you need to train yourself, learn movements and adjust coordination, but it’s also very important to love what you are doing and be passionate about it. This is what you will learn with me, in a friendly and relaxed environment. I studied in Brescia, Milano and Amsterdam. My main fields were piano, chamber music and composition. I have taught piano and music theory during my time in Italy, currently I perform mainly in The Netherlands.
