Hello everybody! I am Michela, an Italian teacher and native speaker settled in Brussels right now. I decided to become a teacher a long time ago and I worked a lot for that. This is why I graduated in a M.A. in Italian as a second language and I passed several Teaching certifications (DILS and TEFL) to be sure I will be prepared enough to guarantee the best experience for my students. I also taught Italian to adults for one year and English in the Italian Public High School. I love my language and my country. I also love talking with other nationalities to share cultures and lifestyles. When I teach, I'd rather prefer a communicative approach, that means to focus on the communicative skills to let the student be able to start a conversation and use the language in real situations as soon as possible. This doesn't mean that the grammar is not taken into consideration, but it means that grammar will be learnt through the use of language in a deductive way and as something useful to understand the language, instead of being a top-down process.
