My classes give students their own understanding of the content with which to confidently approach their exams.

I received a 1st in Philosophy and Theology at bachelors level from the University of Nottingham. I am currently studying philosophy at King's College London.

Able to run classes on these topics in each field:

Philosophy: Philosophy of Religion, Ethics, Political Philosophy, Metaphysics, Philosophy of Mind.

History: Tudor England, Elizabethan England, Reformation Europe.

Have been playing the Ukulele for 8 years and so can help students gain competency in the instrument - have access to a lot of material.

I have taught Philosophy at the Italian state grammar schools for decades. Now I am attending a PhD at KCL.
In my class I both put the philosophical ideas into the historical context, presenting the philosophers who invented and discussed them, and into the conceptual system of the so called philosophical disciplines, such as ethics, epistemology, metaphysics, aesthetics,anthropology and ethics.

My area of expertise is all things Religious Studies, including Philosophy, Ethics, and New Testament Studies. I am currently an Undergraduate at King's College London studying 'Theology, Religion and Culture.'
I believe it is more beneficial for students to learn how to think analytically rather than just being spoon fed knowledge. This is done by first covering a specific topic and ensuring their understanding, and then having a spirited discussion about the content, finding out what the pupils opinions are. I am a passionate History, Sociology and Philosophy teacher (both ancient and modern). Fluent in Italian, Spanish and English I have taught History and Sociology in Madrid, Barcelona, North Italy and London. I can also teach Politics. My teaching method
I bring a broad-based interdisciplinary knowledge to a range of subjects. This allows the opportunity to consider new ideas and to place different perspectives in conversation with each other, which is an instrumental skill for improving academic writing.

A lesson with me will be interactive and lucid. I am adaptable as all students are different, so I will constantly monitor and remain attentive to our learning objectives.

My teaching methods vary, but as a rule I start with an in depth account of the subject, taking care to ground it contextually, and then proceed to a discussion of the main points. Whether the lessons take more of a dialogical form or the more typical lecture type format depends on the needs and preferences of the student.

The lessons will be focused on studying techniques, written exercises with supervision and recalling techniques. We will work not just to close any gaps but also help the student in learning how to optimize private study.

For students who need to get up to speed with content, I can offer sessions where I present you with ideas and new ways of understanding the topic.

I approach each topic according to the immediate and long-range needs of the student, whether they require help in comprehending their topic, in preparing for exams, or in planning, executing, and proofing written work. Depending on the desire and temperament of the student, I can gear my lessons either towards cramming and exam survival or towards the nurturing of lifelong learning.

My general policy is also to be flexible with what the student needs of me. For example, my payment is for the hour, however I am happy to look over work and send comments. My fee is not just one hour as I work with the student in all aspects of their learning via e-mails outside the lessons.

Also, students who are interested in International Relations might find these classes useful due to the context of the course being wholly international. Il est vrai que le philosophe est l'ami de la sagesse mais avant tout c'est quelqu'un qui ne veut pas faire de fautes de raisonnement. Philosopher est une manière de raisonner et une manière de résoudre des problèmes qui n'auront jamais une solution parfaite et définitive. Connaître la distance entre la Terre et la Lune n'est pas un problème de philosophie, car il suffit de mesurer pour le résoudre. En revanche, savoir par exemple ce que c'est que la justice est un problème de philosophie. Un mètre ne saura pas nous aider à connaître la réponse. Il faut s'y prendre autrement et dans les cours que je vous propose, je vous enseignerai comment.

Je m'adapterai à vos besoins individuels. Chaque cours est fait sur mesure. Nous allons analyser où se trouvent vos difficultés pour élaborer ensemble un programme de cours à même de vous rendre performant aussi vite que possible. Le principe de base des cours que je propose est la dialectique à l'instar des dialogues de Platon : réfléchir ensemble, faire des interventions théoriques, poser des questions et chercher des réponses, tester la validité des raisonnements.

Depuis 10 ans, j'enseigne la langue allemande en appliquant la méthodologie en philosophie étant donné que j'ai fait des études de philosophie au niveau master à l'université Aix-Marseille. Il s'avère que l'esprit analytique est d'une grande utilité même en dehors des limites de la philosophie. Aujourd'hui, il y a même des champs d'activité comme le management avec la philosophie ou la philothérapie. Durant ces dernières années, certains élèves d'allemand m'ont demandé de leur dispenser également des cours de philosophie et c'est pour cela que j'ai décidé d'offrir directement des cours de philosophie.
