The students can bring their own exercises to solve or to better understand. I provide students with extra exercises that can be done in class or as homework. The subject of the classes is the entire AP calculus program: 1) Limits and continuity: - Graphing and interpreting graphs (pre-calculus). - Limits and continuity. Finding limits algebraically or estimating them from numerical or graphical data. Continuity in terms of limits. - Intermediate Value Theorem and Extreme Value Theorem. - Vertical, horizontal, and oblique asymptotes. Limits involving infinity. 2) Derivates and rates of change: - Limit definition of the derivative and its relationship to continuity. - Derivative rules including the Power Rule, Product Rule, Quotient Rule, and Chain Rule. - Slope and tangent lines. - Linear approximation and differentials. - Instantaneous and average rates of change. This includes finding intervals of increase/decrease, relative minima/maxima, intervals of concavity, and inflection points. - Mean value theorem and Rolle’s Theorem. - Applications of derivatives, including optimization and related rates. - Elementary differential equations and slope fields. 3) Integrals and Areas: - Antidifferentiation and indefinite integrals. - Techniques of antidifferentiation, including power rule, algebraic manipulation, and substitution. - Finite Riemann sums and their limits. Relationship to definite integrals. - The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus and definite integrals. - Trapezoid Rule and other methods for estimating area. - Exact area below a curve or between two curves, using definite integrals. - Volumes of solids of revolution, by washer method and shell method. - Accumulation functions. - Relationships between position, velocity, and acceleration using integrals. - Average value of a function over an interval. - Models for exponential growth and decay.

Trusted teacher: This training is intended for students who have an interest in the French-speaking world. It aims to develop the linguistic and cultural knowledge of the participants. The training consists of a varied set of workshops such as reading, writing, listening comprehension and after each workshop there will be an activity such as an open discussion about the given course. The course includes three written workshops, one to two hours per week and the rest of the time will be devoted to the oral course (approximately two hours per week). The written workshop deals with the analysis, production and preparation of various types of oral tests in various subjects all genres including argumentation, dissertation and critical commentary. Languages are spoken, understood, written, and interpreted. Language classes are a form of communication that takes part in the life of the class by fostering open and free discussions. Courses are offered without any expectation of ending with the university entrance exam, with a detailed study plan, including not only written but also oral activities. The Oral course is a language course taught in French. Its goal is to develop linguistic and communication skills in French, including phonetics, grammar, and syntax. Our focus will be on oral comprehension and expression. This course will primarily involve working with students, not only in class but also between students and their families. Real communication is essential, and activities where second-stage rational thinking will be most important will be proposed. Coordinating formal activities (reading, writing) with other informal activities (discussions) will be essential for a successful course.

Trusted teacher: My main teaching philosophy is to teach students to play the music they enjoy. It sounds like a no-brainer but I have had teachers in the past who only showed me songs that they enjoyed or used method books that teach you "Mary Had A Little Lamb" or "Hot Crossed Buns" (and if you like those songs then we can learn those). All that to say, whatever the student's goal on the instrument, I will take them step by step until they reach it. For a beginning musician, the fundamentals of the instrument are given the highest priority: how to tune your instrument, names of all the notes, essential chords, basic strumming, playing in time, and understanding basic rhythm. For someone who already plays but needs a little help getting out of the rut, we'll spend time fixing bad technical habits, hammering home the fundamentals, expanding their repertoire, and slowly moving outside of the comfort zone to new horizons. With advanced players, listening (ear training), transcribing, song analysis, exploring advanced theory concepts, and focusing on composition and improvisation are most important. With all levels of students, I make playlists that I update after each lesson so they can hear real examples of what we are covering, as well as provide detailed written notes in TAB and standard notation so they can refer to everything we covered and know what to practice. Also, it's fun!
