Siempre llevo conmigo papel, lápices o rotuladores (y en los últimos años también un iPad).
Cuando encuentro una escena interesante, me detengo y dibujo directamente en el lugar.

Durante cuatro años desarrollé el proyecto personal “Everyday I draw Barcelona”, en el que realicé más de 1500 dibujos observando la ciudad directamente en sus calles.

Me interesan especialmente las escenas cotidianas, lejos de los lugares turísticos, donde se puede sentir la vida real de la ciudad.

Creo que el dibujo hecho en el lugar tiene una capacidad única para transmitir la atmósfera de un espacio y un momento, algo diferente de la fotografía.

Mis dibujos han sido publicados como art prints, camisetas y otros productos, y se venden en tiendas de Barcelona y también online.

Después de graduarme de la Universidad de Keio, estudié diseño gráfico en Milán.
Viví en Barcelona desde 2008 hasta 2024, y actualmente resido en Tokio.

Learn to draw by observing the world around you.
In these classes we will explore drawing from life: people, places and everyday scenes.

We can work from real objects, photographs, or illustrations.
If you're interested in manga, ink drawing, or ukiyo-e (traditional Japanese woodblock prints), we can also explore that style.

If you have something you'd like to draw, you can bring it to class.
If not, we will use reference materials that I have prepared.

No prior experience is necessary. Beginners are welcome.

You can draw on paper with a pencil or marker, or also on a tablet if you prefer to work digitally.

The classes are adapted to your level and your interests.

I am currently based in Tokyo and offer in-person classes in Tokyo, Yokohama, and Kawasaki, as well as online classes.
If you wish, we can also go outside and draw together while observing the city.
