2. Discipline. This means that the course leader and the student (s) do what is expected of them.
3. From simple to complicated, tailored to the aptitude and experience of the student (s).
4. Practicing a lot and repeating previous lessons.
5. Structured work. This mainly means working on the grammar of English because grammar gives structure to a language.
6. Regular keys.

Maths tutoring for children, all topics and focused on junior schools. High standard of maths education, fluent in several languages. Able to travel to different locations. Also good with explaining and good with children. If you are looking for extra tutoring, this is perfect.

I keep track of a level of progress and make sure my students get their personalized material as well as the support they need from me. As a native English speaker with knowledge of various foreign languages and global issues in history and the political economy, I can provide English lessons to various learner levels and age groups in many different subjects. I received my master's degree in International Relations at Leiden University and worked in international diplomacy at the UN. Previously, I worked at universities in research administration and media companies. I have a TEFL degree and plenty of experience managing academic events and teaching. Additionally, I can provide any educational help needed in studying disciplines in the humanities – such as politics, economics, history, research analysis, writing, ethics and learning languages. I studied the University of Mathematics and I have an experience of over 7 years in teaching mathematics to children. I'm passionate about children's development and mathematics, hence I'm combining the two to motivate children and to explain through various methods adjusted to their way of thinking and understanding.
I also have experience with students willing to go for the Toelatingsonderzoek 21+ (Wiskunde B, HAVO) and able to get them started from the basics when needed.

Majority of my previous students were admitted and graduated universities around the world, on topics that have mathematics as a background (e.g. architecture, construction engineering).
I'm currently working for a software company, but I'm willing to dedicate the afternoons/weekends to supporting kids learn and develop.

In day to day life especally in technical related subjects you will find practical use of the Pythagoras theorem. For example a carpenter when a house is being build, who uses the 3,4,5 rules to allign doors and window 90 degees straight up.

How does this work? The carpenter prepares three beams with lenghts 3, 4 and 5 meter, or other lengths with the same ratio like 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5 meter. How does he use these beams to align the door or window?

He creates a triangle with 1.5m vertical, 2 m horizontal and 2.5 meter sloped.

What do you see. The 1.5m length beam is exactly straight up, and can be used to align the door or window to the correct position.
