Communicative Methodology The lessons are based on everyday situations that are relevant to the student's sociocultural reality. The main focus is to learn the language in the context in which it is actually used, presenting situations such as at a restaurant, at home, or talking on the phone. In addition, it emphasizes communication between students in these situations, allowing them to exchange experiences. For example, to work on past tense verbs, we can talk about what you did over the weekend. This way, the student applies the new language to their everyday situations. Reading and writing related to these everyday situations are also worked on, encouraging reflection and helping to solidify the content. The method works for both beginner and advanced students. The lessons are naturally developed around practical topics, always focused on real-life subjects (based on the student’s reality). Since we will be learning English or Portuguese through practical contexts, we won't waste time teaching grammar traditionally, which makes the lessons more dynamic and interactive.
