Ik bereid de student voor op het toelatingsexamen voor geneeskunde en/of tandheelkunde. Omdat hier veel werk in kruipt, raad ik aan zowel een vroege als welvoorziene voorbereiding te genieten zodat de slaagkansen voor dit examen optimaal zijn.

De vakken die aan bod komen zijn wiskunde, biologie, chemie en fysica. Ook wordt er gedrillt op de stilleestekst van het namiddagdeel. Er worden ook tips gegeven mbt het afleggen van het examen zelf, de structuur van de vragen en hoe je best begint.

My name is Jordy and I'm 30 years old. I am a medical student with a background in international business and have 6 years of experience in teaching.

After passing the admission test for medical school (a national exam counting over 7000 participants every year, and only a small fraction succeeding) I decided to help others prepare for this difficult exam by teaching them the content, helping with the structure and overall demistifying this scary-looking challenge. In deze module geef ik biologielessen op middelbare school- en hogerschoolniveau, afhankelijk van de behoeften van de leerling. De mogelijkheden variëren van eenvoudige lessen over basisbegrippen tot onderwerpen die nodig zijn om te slagen voor 'eindexamens' zoals de SAT, GCSE, MCAT en International Baccalaureate.

Dankzij de kennis die ik op de medische school heb opgedaan, kan ik de stof op een meer diepgaand niveau uitleggen als de student daarom vraagt.

In deze cursus bereid ik je voor op de IMAT (Italiaanse toelatingstest voor geneeskunde). Deze test vindt elk jaar plaats en is de enige manier om toegang te krijgen tot de opleiding Engelstalige geneeskunde aan openbare universiteiten in Italië.

Ik help je met de vier wetenschappelijke disciplines (wiskunde, natuurkunde, biologie, scheikunde), evenals met kritisch redeneren en algemene kennis. Ik bereid je ook voor op realistische examensituaties om je te laten wennen aan de tijdslimiet en andere beperkingen.

Wiskundecursus gegeven door een afgestudeerde ingenieur met meer dan 14 jaar ervaring in het lesgeven in wiskunde tot en met bachelorniveau. Houd er rekening mee dat hoewel sommige van mijn studenten cursussen in het Frans, Duits of Zweeds hebben gegeven, mijn primaire onderwijstaal Engels is. Aangezien het onderwerp wiskunde is, is het over het algemeen gemakkelijk om de taak te begrijpen en ik leg de antwoorden in het Engels uit.

Often there is not enough time in school to repeat the content and practice enough, for the students to gain confidence and a routine in solving mathematical problems. My approach goes beyond simply teaching math. My main objective is to help students learn how to learn. Many students struggle not because they are “bad at math,” but because they were never shown how to understand, practice, and think independently. That is exactly what I focus on.
