Mijn lessen gaan vooral over spreken, lezen en schrijven. Ook al heb ik nog geen formele onderwijservaring, ik zou graag willen tellen als een kleine ervaring om mijn vrienden te helpen en mensen om me heen te helpen tijdens mijn opleidingsjaren. Vooral toen ik vanuit Turkije naar Nederland kwam, was ik erg blij met de opmerkingen van mensen over mijn spraak en mijn stijl.Ik heb gehoord dat mijn Turks heel duidelijk is.

Hallo, mijn naam is Gül. Ik ben 28 jaar oud. Ik ben geboren en getogen in Turkije. Ik woon al een paar jaar in Nederland. Ik ben afgestudeerd in Sociale Dienstverlening en Counseling. Ik heb mijn opleiding op scholen in Istanbul afgerond en ik denk dat ik een mooie, begrijpelijke dictie heb die we uitdrukken als Istanbul Turks.Ik heb de Diction cursus gevolgd van een instelling in Istanbul en heb de mogelijkheid gehad om mezelf verder te ontwikkelen.

Ik geef mijn lessen op 4 taalvaardigheden. Lezen, schrijven, luisteren en spreken. Ik zal mijn lessen voornamelijk in het Turks geven. Dit klinkt misschien als een moeilijk idee voor iemand die geen talen kent. Maar ik wil je graag een voorbeeld van mezelf geven. Toen ik naar Nederland kwam, begon ik aan een taalcursus en hoewel de enige taal die ik sprak Turks was, had ik geen moeite om de lessen te begrijpen vanwege de manier van uitdrukken van de leraar. Het had eigenlijk een positief effect en ik concentreerde me meer op de lessen. Omdat ik net zoveel van lesgeven hou als van leren, wil ik graag iedereen helpen die Turks wil leren. Ik kan materialen gebruiken voor de ontwikkeling en doelen van de leerling in mijn les. Ik zal ook profiteren van deze methode, omdat ik weet dat visueel leren enorm is verbeterd.

Hi, I am Hatice from Istanbul.

I HAVE BEEN TEACHİNG ONLINE AND FACE TO FACE FOR 25 YEARS.
I am a native speaker of Turkish and was born in Istanbul.

I have been teaching Turkish to foreigners and I have taught hundreds of students from all ages and professions for more than 20 years. I am a professional English teacher but I like teaching Turkish more as it is my mother tongue and it is a great pleasure for me to share its secrets and beauty.

While teaching I also love giving some useful information about the culture, people, cuisine, films and literature in Turkey to help you get connected to Turkish culture. I prepare written and verbal dialogues in the areas the student is interested in.

I am from Istanbul but I traveled almost all cities, mountains, rivers, lakes in Turkey. I am a person who likes less traveled roads and back streets. Traveling around the world and reading on the areas of spirituality, philosophy, psychology, and literature are my number one hobbies. I lived and worked in London, Toronto, and S. Korea. Living as an expat and learning several languages have helped me having sympathy with my students. Motivation, feeling relaxed and setting realistic targets, in the beginning, are usually the first thing to go.

As for my formal education, I studied Economics, International Relations, Western Philosophy, and American language and literature at the university (MA and BA). And after my 40 years old, I learned classical Arabic and Persian and started to study Islamic spirituality at the doctorate level. I taught English at Prep. school at Istanbul Technical University and Yeditepe University and am retired. Ever since I could remember I have been a teacher. Now I only teach Turkish privately and translate classical novels from English to Turkish. I translated 12 books from English to Turkish.

I teach Turkish that is tailored for each student. Each student is unique for me and I know that every student has her/his own way of learning.
If you are a beginner I give a short lecture about the history of Turkish and its characteristics and help you find your way in this very logical, consistent and elegant language. You understand that Turkish is different but that does not necessarily mean difficulty.
From the first lesson, you start speaking Turkish and find yourself in a dialogue.

I can teach at my place and your place (all around Istanbul).

I use several books using a grammar-based approach integrated with communicative methods to boost the development of all language skills. But we always focus on TALK, TALK, TALK. As a language learner for many years, I know one can learn, improve and take pleasure in a foreign language only by talking and communicating. It is essential to get direct pleasure from what you have learned. My aim is to motivate and inspire you to speak Turkish ignoring minor mistakes and without thinking grammar.

I try to keep in contact with my students almost every day through whatsapp and email. And start some short dialogues.

We will start our lessons by learning the most basic skills such as correct pronunciation and simple grammar rules.
We will continue to improve our speaking, listening and grammar levels by learning new informations step by step.
Based on my 13 years of experience, I think that A1 level is a very important period in language learning. When learning any language, beginner level students should learn it in the correct order and important details should be explained well by practising previous ones. Students at more advanced levels, such as A2, B1 or above, also need to practice their skills at the previous level thoroughly to improve their language skills. I try to provide good teaching by paying attention to these important points in my lessons. I keep our lessons' notes in a word file. After our lessons, I send you back all the additional notes and exercises that we covered in our lesson as a Word file.
