Once the course is finished the student will be able to understand and manipulate analog sound in a digital environment, as well as process and apply basic techniques such as sound capture, editing, and processing in audio editing software, to carry out the music postproduction.
Learn how to record and edit audio to a professional standard.
Consistently produce mixes that sound clear, powerful, and professional by following my step-by-step mixing system using stock plugins.

I am a composer, multi-instrumentist performer, and music producer. I hold studies in engineering and music production issued by the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey, Fundación Tónica Guadalajara, and Berklee College of Music. Also, I hold a Master's degree in Music and Sound for Films and Games granted by the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom.
I hold an engineering degree and have four years’ experience in audio post-production working in a world class recording studio as senior engineer and manager. I have advanced qualifications in recording, mixing, mastering, sound design, dubbing, foley and audio production in general. I have produced several EPs, singles, and a three musical plays.
In addition, I have strong experience (6 years) on music composition for screen and sound design. I have composed for several short films, advertising videos, and I have been awarded for best original music by the 48 Hour Film Project short film contest.
I believe that music is a powerful tool to serve and enhance the human spirit, having the power to help people and change lives.

"Master is about perception not gear"
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to complete the entire mastering process of music production using the most common tools. You will also understand the importance of mastering and the final preparation process for streaming and physical devices, such as CDs.
Course Target: Master a student's cover or original music project. Alternatively, you can master a sample song.

Target: Compose, arrange, orchestrate, mix, edit, and master a score for a short film (5-8 min).
This course provides an overview of the world of film music integrated with reading musical notation and using musical composition software including, but not limited to Logic, Pro Tools, Sibelius, Finale, or Dorico. Many aspects of film music will be discussed, including history, famous composers, the process of film scoring, and how music and its relationship to film have changed throughout the last century. Instructional methods will include reading, lecture, group discussion, projects, and film viewing.
An existing competency in creating music, combined with a thoughtful awareness of drama and human emotion will be critical assets to draw upon from your own background.
You should be comfortable with the features and workings of their DAW (digital audio workstation) of choice, be it Logic, Pro Tools, Reaper, or any of the other programs that can manage a host like Kontakt and MIDI.
You should have the following prerequisite musical and technical skills:
Ability to read music.
Basic experience with MIDI sequencing and digital audio software for producing and finalizing musical mock-ups (MP3) via sample library.
Ability to create final audio mix within a QuickTime movie and submit.
