As a recent graduate in English Literature at the University of Edinburgh, I am confident I can teach the language from Beginner to Advanced level, as well as adapt my lessons to all kinds of purposes: I've had to read numerous fictional and theoretical books throughout my studies, as well as write extensive essays on various topics, which has familiarized me with academic English. On the other hand, living in the UK and working in the hospitality industry there has allowed me to learn English on a more colloquial register as well.
Moreover, I have acquired a Level 5 Diploma for Teaching English from the TEFL Academy. For this course, I've had to learn and put into practice different techniques and teaching approaches, adapting my lessons and the target language to the age and language level of the student.

I'm a native Spanish speaker with an English Literature degree from the University of Edinburgh. Although I'm currently in Italy working temporarily as a private Spanish tutor whilst learning Italian myself, usually my life is divided between my family in Spain and my life in Scotland.

Languages can be very fun to learn, and I want to transmit that to my students. I engage as much as possible with their struggles and interests in their learning process in order to help them improve.

Learning a language can be a very difficult task or a very entertaining one, since it all depends in the method of study. Instead of repetitive grammar exercises and vocabulary lists, the content will be given through interactive resources and activities with which the student can enjoy learning, so they can feel motivated instead of turning it into an obligation.

Classes will be tailored to every student, according to his/her needs and interests. Either you want to take up Spanish for the first time or you already have a certain level of proficiency in the language, the classes will be as interactive as possible, with the student deciding what is more convenient to his/her way of learning.
Homework will be assigned every week in order to revise the content already given.
If these classes are used as support for school or to achieve any kind of certification, I am willing to adapt to their pace, content and structure instead of giving additional content. In this case, a weekly report will be given in order to ensure that all of the necessary topics for the exam are met.
My aim is to create a relaxed environment where the student can practice his/her Spanish skills without feeling overwhelmed nor under pressure.

I've been recently working as a Spanish private teacher for an Italian family: usually worked around 2,5h/day teaching Spanish to an 8-year-old boy by way of dynamic and interactive activities tailored to his own hobbies and interests. On the other hand, the classes with the adults were based on conversation-driven classes that aimed at practicing specific grammar and vocabulary.
