I’m a CELTA certified English language teacher from Manchester, in the UK, who has been teaching English to adult learners for 13 years, having worked in the UK, Spain and Colombia.

For the last 9 years, I've been teaching English online, to adult learners from different parts of the world, backgrounds and cultures.

As well as being a teacher, I’m also a language learner, having been learning Spanish for a number of years.

I’ve previously lived and worked in Spain and Colombia, and understand the challenges of being a newcomer and trying to create a new life for yourself, in a place with a different language and culture.

I’ve helped hundreds of adult English learners from different countries, parts of the world and backgrounds to lose their fear of speaking English and improve their communication skills and confidence with English.

My students have obtained employment at international companies, used English more successfully and confidently in job roles and gained English skills for daily life after moving to the UK or another English speaking country.

I work with female English learners who feel shy, embarrassed and nervous about speaking English and lack confidence in your English abilities.

I’m a very patient teacher and create a warm, welcoming and supportive learning environment, to help you to grow in confidence and learn the everyday English you need to communicate in daily life in the UK.

I have a communicative approach, in which the emphasis is on learners speaking as much as possible immediately.

My lessons are customised, so that I design them around the individual needs and goals of learners, taking their interests into account.

My lessons are also focused on the strengths and weaknesses of learners, so they keep building on their strengths and help them to improve in their weak areas.

Based on my 13 years of experience, I think that A1 level is a very important period in language learning. When learning any language, beginner level students should learn it in the correct order and important details should be explained well by practising previous ones. Students at more advanced levels, such as A2, B1 or above, also need to practice their skills at the previous level thoroughly to improve their language skills. I try to provide good teaching by paying attention to these important points in my lessons. I keep our lessons' notes in a word file. After our lessons, I send you back all the additional notes and exercises that we covered in our lesson as a Word file.
