I am a singing teacher with 20 years experience across multiple genres. I teach all ages and abilities from children just starting out, to seasoned pros looking for audition prep and pre-professional preparing for entrance auditions. I have a positive, pro-active approach to teaching, focussing on styles of music students prefer to get them interested and then suggesting other songs that might aid a particular technique or stretch and ability. If students are interested in taking exams, I follow ABRSM, LSMD & Trinity examination boards. But they are not a focus. I follow the ABRSM music theory syllabus for Music Theory, and try to implement it in a practical as well as theoretical fashion. Illustrating musical pieces that a student might be familiar with to highlight a point or suggesting pieces to listen to. My online teaching room is the same as my in-person teaching room, with full professional set-up. Backing tracks, sheet music and teaching aids are sent ahead of lessons with direction on where material can be purchased/ obtained as well as relative keys and versions.
