Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, and Chemistry TutoringTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, and Chemistry TutoringTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Often times in Math and Science subjects, students end up feeling lost because they didn't fully grasp a fundamental concept or gain enough confidence in using it. Classes often have a strict schedule to follow, which does not allow them the flexibility of revisiting concepts a student may have missed. Rather than marching on at an unstoppable pace, I place focus on figuring out what gaps in knowledge a student might have and addressing those first, to ensure their foundation is strong enough to always know what the next step is. My goal is to teach a student how to use their pre-existing knowledge to be able to analyse new concepts and to develop their problem solving and inference skills. Being able to consistently figure out what you don't know and what you can figure out is the basis of strong learning and problem solving skills, and I aim to make this approach a second nature for my students. Furthermore, knowing what inevitably needs to be memorized (and how to drill this information into your brain) and what can be easily reconstructed from a problem's given information and what you know, are, in my opinion, the cornerstones of efficient study and test-taking skills. Instilling this concept into my students' processes is another of my major goals. As for whom this class may suit: I can teach Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics from an elementary school level to the university level (depending on the exact subject), and can teach Chemistry up to the high school senior level. If you are unsure about whether a topic or class falls into this range, please feel free to message me!

Greek as a foreign language (modern Greek), Ancient Greek,English as a second language (ESL)Translate this text using Google Translate.

I've been teaching modern Greek as well as Ancient Greek to adult expats and students of international schools in Athens and abroad(Dubai)for over 20 years, helping them to communicate fluently in Greek and succeed in the exams for the Proficiency Certification in Greek language! I'm a Bachelor's degree holder and have been working also as a freelance interpreter. I've been teaching also English as a second language for 20 years. I"ve worked in a primary school in Great Britain, following a scholarship I received from the Greek State Fund and participated in the school's unit for children with special language disorders since I'm qualified in teaching students withspecial learning difficulties such as dyslexia. I have extensive experience in teaching English and preparing students for all diplomas and certifications of Michigan and Cambridge Universities and I have also worked in the most established foreign language school, EURODIASTASI as a teacher and as a director of studies. I am a graduate of the Kapodistrian University, Department of French Language and Literature, associate of the international teaching certificate TESOL/TEFL as well as the teaching diploma of CAMBRIDGE university. My lesson is organized and very efficient. My students achieve their goals easily and quickly!

Modern Greek lessons with the most efficient and easy way. ONLINE CLASSES AVAILABLE !Translate this text using Google Translate.

Modern Greek lessons with the most efficient and easy way. ONLINE CLASSES AVAILABLE !Translate this text using Google Translate.

This class is for foreigners living in Athens, Greece, that want to learn the basics (and more) of the Greek language for various reasons like business, curiosity to explore the greek language, communicating better with loved ones etc.. You will learn how to understand, listen, read and speak this complicated yet interesting and historic language. I focus a lot on the greek pronunciation and grammar, since those are the sections most foreigners struggle with. Along with the language, you will also learn many ancient greek words, because the modern greek language derives from the ancient greek and the grammar is closely related to it. Last but not least, you will be teached some things about the greek culture and history and if asked, you could learn about greek urban dictionary. I started gaining experience by volunteeringly teaching it to my foreign friends and to refugees since I was 16 years old. Moreover, the fact that I took many language classes growing up ( french, japanese, spanish, english), and still do, helped me learn new patterns from my teachers and apply them in my classes. BA in Political Science and History (Panteion University of Athens) I provide notes to my students. Communicate with me on Apprentus.

“ My children, who were 7 and 9 when they started, have loved learning art with Emer over the past year. She introduced them to different materials, surfaces and techniques, and we saw a real progression in their drawing and painting skills, confidence and creativity throughout the year. Their work became more thoughtful, detailed and ambitious. What makes Emer truly special is her ability to see children not simply as “kids”, but as individual personalities. She takes their ideas seriously, listens to them and shows genuine interest in their lives. The children looked forward to every class and loved sharing their drawings and stories with her. Her knowledge and passion for art, combined with her ability to connect with children, make her an exceptional teacher. She even inspired my son to dream of becoming a cartoon maker. We are incredibly grateful to her and would definitely recommend her. ”

“ Margarita has shown exceptional professionalism and her immense knowledge of the Greek. She adapts the curriculum based on the needs and the priorities of the student so they can start speaking Greek as soon as possible. In case some particular quirky aspect of the Greek language troubles you, Margarita will put an extra effort into helping you to understand it. She is also quite flexible with the schedule, which is great because it lets me keep learning the Greek as an after work activity. I'm very pleased with Margarita as a Greek tutor. ”

“ I thoroughly enjoy Professor Mariam's class. Her teaching style combines structured lessons, well-prepared, with engaging activities that make the learning interactive and enjoyable. She is a native speaker, thus she makes me better understand the culture of the language. At the same time, she fully understands my questions and stands always available to clarify and explain doubts. Overall, a great experience, fully effective in helping me grasp the language. ”
