Guitar lessons / music theory / rhythm / accompaniment / composition etc.

Translated by Google. Click to view original.
Hello,

My name is Marco, and I invite you to pass on my passion for the guitar, and more broadly for music.

Music brings a lot. Whether it's emotions, personal satisfaction, moments of grace, whether you're a spectator or on stage, encounters and exchanges that are so interesting with other musicians...

My goal is to send you enough motivation and pleasure so that you never give up on this inexhaustible source of joy and discovery.

To achieve this, my main tool, as in music, will be listening.
Listening to you, understanding what you dream of achieving, then helping you get there, this is my method. So my experience and my knowledge will allow us to approach the styles that interest you: Songs, Pop, Rock, Folk, Fingerstyle, Blues, Jazz, Groove, Bossa nova, Samba... as much as to accompany you in your own creations .

So during our first session we will discuss the artists and guitarists who are close to our hearts. If you already know songs, you can play them for me, easily, without stress, and for the most advanced among you, it will even be an opportunity to jam.

Whether it's for you or your child, whether you're a student or a retiree, I'm interested in all profiles, because everyone can have fun learning to play the guitar.

See you soon !

Marco

About Me

Patience, a balance between rigour and flexibility for students of all profiles and ambitions.

I don't have a single methodology, in the sense that I don't have a pre-defined programme: I observe how the student is developing, their motivations, ambitions and personal tastes, and from this I deduce pieces to suggest or specific, tailored advice on how to work. My aim is to develop a personalised relationship with the student, rather than imposing a framework: there are no essential works, no essential method, and above all no single way of looking at regular practice of the instrument.

My approach to teaching is based on the individual character of each student, because each person has his or her own perception of music and, above all, does not absorb teaching in the same way.
My role is to adapt to different personalities and to take advantage of their strengths and 'combat' their weaknesses...
The lesson is also a meeting place, because to make good progress in this subject you need a connection between student and teacher, and that's essential!

To sum up, I recommend a good understanding, a sense of humour and a relaxed attitude to make the most of progress and enjoy playing.

Laureline
Guitarist, singer, poet, composer, performer gives guitar lessons and concert preparation
Guitarist, singer, poet, composer, performer ... and with 20 years of teaching experience, I am happy to share my experience and my know-how: both from a technical point of view (musical knowledge, instrumental or vocal technique ...) than from a more global point of view: expressiveness, body awareness, confidence, creativity ... What interests me above all is to guide you towards more relaxation and confidence as well as autonomy with his or her instruments, to accompany his curiosity, to develop his musical sense and give him the means to go towards the music (s) that attract him. I like to work from what touches you: welcome to those who know what pieces they dream of playing, what style they like!!... instrumental technique and music are learned all the better through what we like (starting from learning a piece to learn a rhythm, reading new notes, knowing more about a style of music, the form of music, etc.) GUITAR SIDE I am competent for: - accompany the learning of the accompaniment guitar (repertoire pop folk rock English speaking French songs of all kinds, trad music, basics of bossa and blues ...) - teach the techniques and repertoire of the classical guitar: know the different styles (baroque, renaissance, classical, traditional Hispanic and South American, contemporary and so on!), acquire dexterity, look for the sonic subtleties of the instrument... - guide the little ones (from 6 years old) to discover the instrument and the music; VERSATILITY and CREATIVITY! I support all projects that need a guitar AND a voice: - do you want to sing along? I teach what is missing in guitar, what is missing in vocals and I have a toolbox today full to facilitate the coordination of the two! - do you want to compose, write songs, or do you have texts but not the chords, you have the melodies but not the words? ... Do you feel stuck in some part of the process? I can help you unwind the thread of your creativity, better understand your gestures, your "dough", find new paths etc ...

Practicing the piano from a young age, I give piano and music theory lessons for beginners.
I listen to my students' requests and I try to give them exactly what they want. Whether it's deciphering a classical score, learning the basics of music theory or practicing pieces. My course is mainly aimed at beginners who want to learn the basics and improve quickly.

Florent
Individual drum lessons at Place du Vallon, Lausanne, in the studio.
I give drum lessons instead of Vallon 12, in my studio, equipped with 2 drums and recording equipment. I consider that learning can only be done while having fun, so I adapt almost all my lessons to the desires of my students, while keeping a course of action to follow, based on methods that have been developed. proven to be very effective over the years. I teach any style of music making sure the basics are solid. (Rock, Funk, Groove, Jazz, Samba, Latin, Metal, Fusion, ...) It is important for me that the student tells me about his desires, his tastes, and to know what the student has desire to learn. Of course, I can come up with tons of songs, but it is always more interesting for the student to bring me what they want to learn. My local is a recording studio. This means that I record and film sessions with students from time to time. It is very rewarding to see / hear yourself play, even very early in learning, and this service is an integral part of the lessons and is something quite rare in drum lessons in the region. I enjoy a familiar atmosphere, without pressure, to focus on the essentials in a relaxed way :-) About the teacher: Studied drums at the Sleack Kaven School in Lausanne. Drummer in many Swiss and international groups, specializing in extreme, technical and progressive metal, as well as electro-groove. Great experience of concerts all over Europe, as well as various recording studios, as well as recording in my personal studio. Drums teacher since 2016 at the ENSR in Lausanne. Drums teacher between 2018-2020 at GimmeMusic School, in Etoy. Private drums teacher since 2017.

The clarinet, a fascinating instrument! Courses for all ages, all levels, all walks of life.
The clarinet is a fascinating instrument. Its woody timbre, its tessitura close to the voice offers a wide range of musical directions. Whether you want to play classical, jazz, song or world music, we will progress together to connect the song and the instrument. To develop the breath, to consolidate its supports, to feel the rhythm and to shine the melodies, that is the objective! I adapt my method according to each student but here are the central points of my educational work: - Warm up: stretching and breathing - Sound work: beak, held notes, harmonics * - Technique: ranges, transpositions * - Repertoire: Piece being learned, reading *, improvisation. * confirmed students SINGING I attach particular importance to the link between song and instrument. Singing the songs and even the scales improves the musicality, the phrasing, the accuracy to the instrument. MEMORY As much as possible, I ask to memorize the pieces. Knowing how to sing a song before playing it is for me the best way to integrate it.

Pierre
Guitar Course any level and any age (Electric and Acoustic)
Guitarist for over 12 years, I give private lessons for 5 years now. I also have a varied professional semi experience; Concerts, musical events, technical guitar and production. All levels and styles can be taught. I adopt a method of teaching that is based on an alternation between technique, improvisation and pieces. The student will be able to choose the songs he wants to play and work with soundtracks and scores provided by me. The technique to work will also be adapted to the desires and tastes of the student.

Ludo
Guitar lessons "Live method" in Lausanne & around
Guitarist for 30 years, I have acquired great experience in music. The aim of this course is to learn to play with other musicians. This is the essence of music for a musician. This course is an opportunity to play “live”, or “live”. Playing LIVE is not only playing in front of an audience, it's playing IN THE MOMENT. One of the things I see most often in class: a student playing a sequence of chords, a riff or a musical motif, who makes a mistake, and stops in his tracks to replay the missed game . This sort of thing, like leaving a blank in the passage between two chords, should not happen when you practice enough. The whole point of playing live is to keep playing even if you make a mistake. This is how we really progress. Playing live with another musician is: - play respecting the rhythm - know how to balance the sound - listen to the other, the other's game - develop your own game, while integrating and respecting each other's game - improvise, alone and / or in pairs - play in the moment, develop musical spontaneity - play without a net, “catch up” on an error, whether it is ours or that of the other musician - above all, one of the advantages of playing with other people is the immense PLEASURE that it provides - an incomparable feeling of satisfaction. - the other big advantage is that we progress ten times faster! :) A typical course will be divided into two parts: - the LIVE part, where we will play the song (s) studied - the more theoretical part, or learning, where we will return to what we have played as a basis for work and improvement As a working material / tool, we will record the live sessions, which will be used to listen again, target the points to be worked on, and as a reference for the progress achieved. In addition, the student will be able to listen and work from the recordings at home, or in his spare time. All stages of learning are important, and the usual, more “normal” lessons are fundamental, especially for those who are starting out or who are in a stuck phase, that is to say they feel limited or do not unable to move to a higher level. In all these cases, it is better to start with more classic courses. I give this kind of course too, don't hesitate to contact me, I can help you better assess your level, define your goals and help you reach them. I look forward to sharing with you my passion for the guitar! See you soon.

guitar lessons for beginners and intermediates, in English too
I learned music in self-taught 99%. Musicality and precision are my laws. In the student I look at the holding, the striking, the positioning of the hands and the fingers, and the will. I have several years of private guitar teaching experiences with young people and adults.
