My name is Katerina, and I am a Greek, hardworking, and ambitious young cellist. I live in beautiful Utrecht for the last six years and, even if my Dutch is not perfect, I feel the Netherlands as my second home. Through my lessons, a pupil will be able to advance their technique, their understanding, and perception of music and their musicality. All these will be achieved through an individual model designed from every pupil based on their abilities, age, the time they want to spend on personal practicing and level. For me, each pupil must be taken care of at their own pace and based on their own needs and abilities, so the lessons will be as efficient and productive but as much enjoyable and fun as possible.

Dear students: My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and classical music with an active performing life, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborate with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. I have years of experience teaching children, teenagers and adults in both Latin-America and Europe, therefore understanding different appreciation levels and needs. I am offering Pop, Jazz, Classical singing classes for all levels and ages - basically whoever wants to initiate, improve, or perfect their vocal technique is welcome. I teach both in person and online. I have students from all over the world: Netherlands, France, Japan, Bulgaria, Latvia and more. I ́m a profesional Opera Singer, who is also giving lessons in vocal technique since 7 years. This class is for begginers and intermedium level singers who want to improve the manage of their voices. The class starts with different vocalizations and breathing exercises to warm the body and start to understand how the voice works. Then we start to sing in order to apply the new concepts to different songs. The class its adaptable to every pupil, because everyone has their one vocal history, which means, they have different problem, which need differents aproaches.

For many people improvisation is a scary word and having to improvise in a group or band is an alarming prospect. However, this really does not need to be the case. As long as you have a basic knowledge of how to play your instrument you will be able to improvise. Once you know the principle of how chords are formed you will soon be improvising with ease. If you play a keyboard instrument you will be able to improvise your own pieces and be able to entertain your friends at a moments notice. On the other hand if you play in a band or a group you will be well equipped to do a real 'jam' session. Whether you play a single line instrument (flute, saxophone, trumpet, violin etc.) or keyboard instruments, this class is for you.

From my childhood I have been studying music and art: sang in choir and solo, played piano, painted, studied music history and literature, solfeggio. Later in college I have also learned choir conducting, had ensemble and choir singing lessons, cultural studies. During last year in university I had pedagogy practice at university and at private art school (where I worked as a music tutor before the war - piano, voice). I truly enjoyed working with students. They all were different age (8 - 40+ years old) and level. But all were very interesting and work was pleasant. My education was very various: my core subjects were conducting, choir, voice, piano. So it allowed me to work with children, teens and adults with quite wide range of interests and needs: some students needed/wanted to learn particular composition(s), sometimes pop songs arrangements, some were interested in “introduction” to the music, some wanted to renew skills they gained in their childhood and continue their journey to the music world. In addition I prepared presentations (which contained information about cultural and historical background and musical and character/art analysis). So after graduation from choir conducting faculty (which allowed me to deepen my knowledge in many important compatible branches) I concentrated on studying classical singing and piano, expanded my cultural studies and analysis knowledge, practiced solfeggio and harmony.
