Drummer and percussionist for 20 years, graduated from the Brussels and Mons Conservatories, I teach drums, percussion and music theory. My course is based first and foremost on you. Whether on drums, marimba, percussion or music theory, I am attentive to your expectations and develop with you a program adapted to your abilities, your difficulties as well as your objectives. It is aimed at everyone, children and adults, complete beginners and more experienced musicians looking for advice, a method or outside advice. I attach crucial importance to autonomy, creativity, curiosity and listening, the latter being the pillar of my method. We progress gradually, paying attention to technique as well as position, musicality and ear. I teach: -drums in many styles (rock, funk, jazz, shuffle, pop, linear, world music, Latin music, songs on demand) and in its many forms (Moeller technique, speed, application of the rudiments, syncopation, breaks , solos, independence, musicality, double pedal, etc.); -percussion (marimba and 4-stick vibraphone, xylophone, timpani, cajón, small percussion), in contemporary but also more classic styles (classical music, baroque, etc.); -music theory, which can be integrated into the course if necessary, but also be the subject of a course in its own right for students who want support for their courses at the academy or at the Conservatory; -techniques for reading scores, as well as sight reading; - absolute pitch and relative pitch (experimental)

You will learn the technique to correctly play percussion instruments. With a good technique you will have a clean sound and we will start with the different types of rhythms and musical genres. In a short time and with ease we will reach a high level.

Hello! I am Dohyun from South Korea. I am a second year jazz drum student at Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I have 3 years of experiences in teaching drums at music schools in Korea and Vietnam. I am open minded as a musician and as a person, I like to have a relaxed, joyful class, and I also value basic, fundamental stuffs, rhythm, and harmony. Mauro, born in 1997 in Italy, approached the study of the drums at the age of 7 years attending the courses of Antonello Scarinci, then continuing with the master's Paolo Fidelibus and Fabrizio Fabiano in the "Accademia Ars Antiqua". In 2016 he undertook a course of studies with Maestro Tony Arco at “Civici Corsi di Jazz (Claudio Abbado)” in Milan, the renowned school founded by Franco Cerri, Enrico intra and Maurizio Franco. He attended the courses of Masters such as Lucio Terzano, Marco Vaggi, Mario Rusca, Mino Fabiano, Tony Arco. He also privately attends the Music course of Latin Jazz ensemble with the Peruvian bassist Rodolfo Guerra and participates in a number of masterclasses including Dave Liebman, Bob Moses, Roberto Tarenzi, Balla Nar Ndiaye Rose, Gerald Cannon, Dave Weckl, Dean Brown. The concert activity over the years has led him to perform in a variety of jazz exhibitions on and off the Milan scene, including Break-In Jazz, Open Sky Museum, Outsound Jazz Festival. Now is attending the Master's Degree at the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam under the guide of Lucas Van Merwijk and Martijn Vink.
