As of today, I’ve been working for 11 years in the animation series and film industry as Lead and Senior Character artist, Lead and Senior Environment artist, CG generalist and CG supervisor. The software used should be free like Blender or Unreal Engine but I can also provide help within Maya if you can afford a license for yourself. The general idea is to provide guidance to level-up to a large and accurate knowledge for you to keep progressing with your preferred software of choice. My name's Sean, and I am a freelance illustrator with over 10 years experience working in print, animation and video games My lessons focus on introducing the principles behind digital artwork, understanding the software and equipment needed for digital artwork and developing the practical drawing skills needed to start creating. My goal is to empower you with the skills to start your digital art journey, demystify the various tools available in drawing applications and tailor advice specific to the kinds of artworks you want to create.

Would you like to be able to illustrate the worlds and stories you imagine? Do you want to learn how to create characters for a video game, animation, children's story, comic or in any format? Or would you like to be able to draw your favorite characters? If you have those concerns, I would love to help you. I like to focus the classes in such a way that the current drawing level of the student is not what is important. The room for improvement will always evolve. I like to take my classes towards character design, towards general things like the psychology of color and shapes, since they are assimilable and highly useful concepts, independent of the level of drawing. For this reason, my classes are aimed at all ages and drawing levels. I also try to focus them on the preferences and tastes of each student, showing them that everything they like, they like for a reason, that nothing is left to chance and that they can also understand how to make their drawings reflect what they want to convey. Even to create your portfolios or visual information for your own project or story. I give private classes with students from different parts of the world, so many of my classes I have been able to do in both English and French. I studied 2D animation in France, and thanks to this training, my work has been nourished by dynamism, storytelling, expressiveness, typical of this medium, as well as the sensitivity for color and shapes that I usually use to infuse a unique style both to my original designs as well as my fanarts.

I will teach you how to create the book itself, meaning you never have to be hindered by not having a place to start. Then, we'll explore a variety of ways to make your mark on each page, building your knowledge and understanding of the visual elements. Lessons are one hour and online. Any age and experience is welcome. I am a qualified art & design teacher for secondary age students in Scotland, and a first class graduate (with honours) from The University of Edinburgh Fine Art programme.
