Hello,

I am a current industrial engineering student at Northwestern University (ranked 9th in the US by US News and in the top 30 universities worldwide by most rankings). I scored 1590/1600 on the SAT (a score above 1550 is typically in the top 1% of test-takers), a 1500/1520 on the PSAT (a preliminary version of the SAT for which I achieved National Merit Finalist, an achievement only 15000 students from each grade in the US achieve), and 36s on official ACT tests (a perfect score). I have tutored standardized tests for the past 3 years, freelance at small companies in the US, and at larger companies like Kaplan. I have done college admissions consulting for the last 2 years and have helped students with applications that have gotten them admitted into the top 20 universities in the US, including Ivy League universities.

About Me
I am a current industrial engineering student at Northwestern University (ranked 9th in the US by US News and in the top 30 universities worldwide by most rankings). I scored 1590/1600 on the SAT (a score above 1550 is typically in the top 1% of test-takers), a 1500/1520 on the PSAT (a preliminary version of the SAT for which I achieved National Merit Finalist, an achievement only 15,000 students from each grade in the US achieve), and 36s on official ACT tests (a perfect score).

I have worked as a standardized test tutor for the past 4 years, freelance, at small companies in the US, and at larger companies like Kaplan and PrepExpert. I have helped dozens of students achieve excellent results, including an improvement from 1200/1600 to 1490/1600 on the SAT over the course of 15 hours of tutoring and from 32/36 to 36/36 on the ACT after 20 hours of tutoring.

I have worked as a college admissions consultant for the past 2 years and have helped students with applications that have gotten them admitted into the top 20 universities in the US, including Northwestern University, UCLA and Cornell University.

I believe that there are no “bad test takers” and that anyone can succeed with sufficient understanding of their exam. I work to not only teach the content on standardized tests but to make sure students understand how the test works and find strategies for the student. For any given question, I both explain why the right answer is correct and offer several approaches that make it easier and faster to find. I try to give my students a “toolbox” of strategies for them to employ so that they never feel lost on a given question.

Prior to the SAT’s shift toward digital testing, I’d instructed over 100 students on all sections of not only the SAT, ACT, and PSAT, but also the HSPT, ISEE, and Chicago Selective Enrollment exam, primarily online but also in person. For the SAT and ACT (my specialties), I’d completed the 15 most recent officially released exams of each test and prepared explanations for my students. I knew the tests inside and out and had developed dozens of strategies for their questions. In addition to having perfect knowledge of and ability to teach the content on each exam, I’ve always been very gifted at standardized tests specifically. I’ve had an ability to see the right answer based purely on phrasing and context clues, without needing to deeply analyze the problem. Over the course of my years working with students, I’ve been able to identify and teach various red and green flags in questions that allow the test-taker to immediately and accurately eliminate or home in on answer choices.

Due to my international background, I had several international students who had their first digital SAT in March 2023, a year earlier than domestic students. Wanting to teach them to the best of my ability and capitalize on this shift, I went through all of College Board's official practice materials several times, in addition to unofficial material from Manhattan Review, Kaplan, and others. I identified new trends on the digital SAT, was able to rework past (paper) official problems as supplementary material, and devise strategies for the exam. Though my educational background in regard to mathematics and English may be less impressive than some other tutors, I’m confident that for a given problem (especially in sections other than mathematics), none would be able to offer a student as in-depth of an explanation for a missed question with as many varied, consistent strategies to find the correct answer as I could.

Dear students and parents,

I provide high-level preparation for SAT, ACT, GRE, and GMAT Mathematics, as well as AP Calculus (AB & BC), AP Precalculus, and AP Statistics, with a strong focus on quantitative reasoning, time management, accuracy, and exam strategy.
My approach is analytical, structured, and results-driven. I work with students who want to move beyond memorization and develop a clear, efficient way of thinking that performs under exam pressure.
With over 12 years of teaching experience and a strong background in university-level mathematics and statistics, I help students understand not only how to solve problems, but which method is optimal in a timed exam setting. We focus on efficiency, error reduction, and strategic decision-making.
In my sessions, students learn how to:
analyze quantitative problems quickly and accurately
solve efficiently with and without a calculator
apply mathematical shortcuts and logical frameworks
manage time effectively in high-stakes exams
approach both Quantitative and Integrated Reasoning sections with confidence
My experience teaching across international schools and universities (including UW–Madison) allows me to connect AP-level mathematics and standardized test content with deeper university-level understanding. This leads to stronger retention, higher scores, and long-term mathematical confidence.

I work with:
high-school students preparing for SAT, ACT, AP exams and university entrance tests
university students and graduate applicants (GRE, GMAT)
adult learners preparing for career-related numerical assessments (Numerical Reasoning)
Sessions are personalized, focused, and outcome-oriented, with targeted practice and clear feedback after each lesson.

Sincerely,
Leila

Preparing for the SAT, GRE, or GMAT math sections and want to stop losing points on problems you actually know how to solve?
This course is built around one goal: getting you the highest possible score on test day, in the shortest time, with the least wasted effort.
I'm a State Engineer (IAV Hassan II) with a CPGE background in Mathematics and Physics — the most rigorous math preparation track in the Moroccan system. The math on these standardized tests is well within that level, which means I don't just know how to solve these problems — I know multiple ways to solve them, and I'll teach you the fastest and most reliable one for exam conditions.

What's covered — by exam:
1-SAT Math

- Heart of Algebra (linear equations, systems, inequalities)
- Problem Solving & Data Analysis (ratios, percentages, statistics)
- Passport to Advanced Math (quadratics, functions, polynomials)
- Additional Topics (geometry, trigonometry, complex numbers)
- Calculator vs. no-calculator strategy

2-GRE Quantitative Reasoning

- Arithmetic and number properties
- Algebra and coordinate geometry
- Data interpretation and statistics
- Quantitative comparison strategy
- Time management under pressure

3-GMAT Quantitative / Focus Edition

- Problem Solving and Data Sufficiency
- Data Insights section
- Elimination strategies for tricky wording
- Pacing and guessing strategy

My teaching approach:
Standardized math tests are not about being good at math — they're about recognizing patterns, avoiding traps, and managing time. I teach you both: the actual math and the test-taking strategy that separates a 650 from a 750 on the GRE, or a 680 from a 780 on the SAT.
Every session is personalized. We start with a diagnostic — I identify exactly which question types are costing you the most points — then we build sessions around fixing those specifically. No wasted time on things you already know.

Who this is for:

Students targeting top universities in the US, UK, or Europe (SAT)
Professionals applying to MBA or graduate programs (GMAT / GRE)
Anyone who feels "stuck" at a score plateau and needs a structured push
Students with strong school math who just need to learn the test format

What I offer:

Diagnostic session to assess your current level and target score gap
Personalized session plan based on your exam date and weak areas
Practice problems with detailed step-by-step breakdowns
Timed mock drills to build exam-day confidence
Available for intensive short-term prep (2–4 weeks) or longer structured programs

I have worked for 5 years now with kids from international schools, helping them with the preparation of tests such as the SAT and ACT.
I believe that the key for a successful preparation of a challenging test such as the SAT is exercise, in fact I believe that is crucial to start the preparation with an adequate advance to gain confidence with the standard exercises we can find in the exam.
My lessons are based on mock exercises: we go through them together seeing what are the student's gaps and then reviewing the theory of those gaps.
I also believe that my method I successful since I can relate to the fear and anxiety a student preparing such a stressful exam is living, having prepared it not so long ago.

For a perfect score on SAT, students need to transition from the traditional classroom habit of 'showing all work' to a high-efficiency test-taking strategy that enables them to find the correct answer with the best use of time. Instead of doing lengthy calculations, we focus on problem-solving tactics and quick-look methods. My goal is to equip you with the specific shortcuts and skills needed to reach the final solution quickly and correctly.

We cover all four critical content areas tested by the College Board, prioritizing the high-yield topics that make up 70% of your score:
Algebra (~35%): linear equations, inequalities, functions, and systems.
Advanced Math (~35%): quadratics, exponential functions, and nonlinear models.
Problem-Solving & Data Analysis (~15%): ratios, percentages, probability, and complex statistical data.
Geometry & Trigonometry (~15%): solving area/volume, circle theorems, and right-triangle trigonometry.

During our lessons you will learn:
how to use the built-in graphing calculator to solve equations, word problems.
when to "plug in numbers" or "backsolve" rather than doing full algebraic work.
the "Grid-in" section where there are no multiple-choice options to lean on.
how to avoid formatting errors and double-check your logic to ensure 100% accuracy on these high-pressure questions.

I help students master the quantitative sections of the SAT, GMAT, and GRE — and actually understand the maths underneath, not just memorize tricks.

Why my teaching is different: I've spent over 20 years using quantitative methods professionally as a data architect at major banks and reinsurers, including Credit Suisse and Swiss Re. When I teach probability, ratios, algebra, statistics, or data interpretation, I'm not just reciting a test guide — I'm showing you how this maths actually works in the real world. That makes it click, and it sticks.

Who I work with: SAT Math — For university applicants aiming at top-tier scores.GMAT Quant & Data Insights — For MBA candidates tackling advanced problem-solving, data sufficiency, and analytical reasoning (Focus Edition).GRE Quant — For graduate-school applicants aiming for top master's or PhD programmes (e.g., ETH, UZH, HSG).University-level maths — Available on request (e.g., introductory statistics, linear algebra).

My approach: I find exactly where you're losing points, fix the underlying gap, and build your speed and confidence with real practice. Whether you're starting from scratch or pushing from a good score to a perfect one, I'll get you there.
