About Me
I studied Physics at King`s College London University and trained to be a Secondary Science teacher doing private tutoring in maths and sciences at various stages including: KS3, GCSE and A-level.
In the past few years I have gone on to work as a technician quickly promoted quickly to senior science technician managing other technicians and technicians across other departments in Art and Design and technology. This really helped hone my science practical knowledge and come up with innovative ways to make the subject interesting in explanation as well as take out small groups for revision classes and science demonstrations.
In the last year I took a Support role in the Special Educational Needs department of Whitgift School as a Study Skills mentor. Whitgift is one of the top 10 private schools in the country (Top 5 in A-level results nationally, Top three IB results for an all boys school). It is a privelege to work closely with the students here. Tutoring small groups of 5 - 10 students or one to one in various subjects from KS3 to GCSE as well as assisting in A-level.
I focus on Study Skills in helping them in effective revision, and being dyslexic myself and finding out at university, I`ve faced my own challenges that have helped me develop strategies that I can share and work with students that are struggling in areas of organisation and medium to long-term planning.
Currently due to Corona only online sessions are available.
