Hello, if you're looking for a friendly, native English teacher to help you with your English, then you've found him! I'm from London and have worked as a teacher for over twenty years. I teach conversational English, grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing via Skype or telephone to Intermediate and Advanced level learners (B1 upwards).

Each lesson is personalised to your needs, and we will build on your English development week by week. My focus is on helping students to achieve 'living English' skills: the words, phrases and expressions used by the British in everyday life. I can also assist you with business English and presentations, as well as preparing you for English examinations, such as IELTS, and job interviews. I am also able to proofread your documents.

Classes last 30, 60 or 90 minutes. I always introduce new vocabulary or phrases in the lessons, and students are emailed an mp3 file with pronunciations after the lesson.

About Me

I was born near London and have a typical 'BBC English' accent. After university I lived in Canada and the United States. I have taught in colleges in the UK since 2004 until I moved to beautiful Budapest in 2013. I have many students around the world, from Spain to Singapore, Hungary to Novosibirsk!

My lessons start with a needs analysis, where we discover your strengths and weaknesses. This enables me to create an individual learning plan for you with specific, measurable goals. We can re-evaluate your progress at set intervals to check your progress.
