I am available to tutor students currently studying Maths, Physics or Chemistry remotely online. In physics, we study many topics related to matter, energy, charges, and others. I am interested in teaching physics so that the information reaches the student completely.

During my high school education in Portugal, I found myself unchallenged and unmotivated by the math curriculum. Seven years later, as a mathematician at the beginning of my academic career, I think I'm an ideal tutor for students in a similar position—interested in math but not quite finding what they need at school. I'm also available to help more advanced students (from university or beyond) who need advice and direction on university-level topics. Additionally, I'm happy to help adults who need help restarting their mathematical education or filling in gaps in their understanding. I'm interested in talking about anything mathematical, from linear inequalities to Hilbert's Nullstellensatz. I'm also familiar with computer science, both in theory and practice. I can easily take the reins and "lecture" on most topics but would prefer to steer towards whatever the student finds interesting. Hello, my name is Víctor and I am graduated in Mathematics with a Master's Degree in Applied Statistics. Mathematics is a huge scientific area and I consider that a way to understand the maths and its complexity is though exercises. However, the first step is to know the theoretical aspects. The lessons will be organized in two parts: the first one will be theoretical and the second one practical. The objective is to have a quick overview of the applied theory in each exercise to use it in similar exercises. Each student will follow each own path and that will also be discussed during the lessons. Depending on the student level and objectives some modifications will be done in our way of working. If the purpose of the lessons is to pass an exam, we will adapt our way of working and will focus on understanding the theory quickly to do as much exercises as possible.
