Ich bin in Griechenland aufgewachsen und habe dort die Deutsche Schule Athen besucht. Ab 2012 lebe ich in München und habe dort mein Abitur absolviert. 2013 habe ich das Certificate of Proficiency in English der Michigan University absolviert. 2019 habe ich meinen Bachelor of Performing Arts im klassischen Gesang abgeschlossen und bin seitdem als Opernsängerin und Pädagogin tätig. Seit 2019 studiere ich Italianistik an der LMU in München.

Wie man diese Probleme löst ist bei jeder Person anders. Wir finden zusammen die richtige Atem-, Vokal-, und Körperhaltung Übungen, um das beste aus Ihrem Stimmpotenzial zuholen.

The most important matter that I could write here about is my passion to teach. I've been teaching already for more than 10 years, from kids to adults. I'm a classical pianist, but I am opened to other musical styles. What I want you to get from your lessons with me, is not only a huge knowledge of theorical stuff or a great technique, I would like to show you my musical world, the imagination and inner exploration that is required to understand and to love music in a whole new level. Once you have found them, it will be very hard to quit playing!

1 hour (Intermediate and combined with some Music Theory)

I use different methods depending on:
1) The goals of my student
2) The language that we will use on class
3) Age and musical preferences: I start to teach children from 3 years old, we make games and they learn to play through musical stories that I have created throughout my pedagogical career.

Je m'appelle Matteo Schifanoia, je suis auteur-compositeur des chansons, chanteur pop et jazz et professeur de chant avec 20 ans d’expérience dans la musique. Je propose des cours de chant à tous les niveaux. Mes cours sont adressés sur le développement d’une conscience corporelle, musculaire et vocale qui aide à percevoir et à considérer notre corps comme un instrument de musique.
Ma méthode d’enseignement est le fruit de la synthèse de mon expérience en tant que chanteur et des nombreux et divers parcours d’étude suivis. La leçon se structure en deux parties : la première moitié consacrée à la technique vocale, la seconde moitié au répertoire musical et à l’apprentissage du langage musical (jazz ou pop ou autre genre).

La technique vocale que je propose est une technique de base pour tous les types de chant moderne: de l’éducation posturale au soin de la respiration, de l’utilisation des muscles abdominaux, à l’émission d’air jusqu’aux cavités de résonance. On travaillera sur le son, sur extensional de la voix, sur les notes aiguës et graves, sur le passage de registre, sur le control, sur la puissance et l'agilité.
Du point de vue du répertoire, le cours sera calqué sur les besoins ou les intérêts de l’élève, avec un œil à la bonne attitude à tenir pendant que vous chantez et vous êtes sur une scène. Je peux préparer l'élève à l'examen d'entrée au conservatoire et toute forme d'audition. Si l’élève le désire, je peux lui donner des notions d’harmonie et de lecture.

My classes are different depending on your level and age.

With children from 7 to 12, we start by doing easy vocalization and start training the ear with intonation, we then have fun singing your favorite songs.

With teenagers, I also start with some vocalization, a little more elaborate. Depending on the student's capabilities, we start establishing a comfortable range for them and then proceed to singing.

For my older students ideally, I divide our lesson into 2 sections. We work on respiration and how the diaphragm works. We do scales and arpeggios and work on intonation. We then proceed to singing and putting into practice our technique. Some students might need more technique before they actually sing, I like to take things slowly and make sure the student feels confident and comfortable singing.

I teach children, teenagers, and adults, from beginners to more advanced. Classical training enables you to sing in any kind of way, so don’t hesitate and let’s sing!

I have over 12 years of teaching experience and I have been working as a Professional Pianist for 7 years now, in 8 different countries (Switzerland, Austria, Iceland, Spain, etc.) and on Luxury Cruise Ships (Worldwide).

I can show you how to have fun with the piano. If you're a beginner, I can take you right from step one and have you playing familiar songs by the 1st or 2nd lesson. If you already have some experience, I can add to it.

I've been playing and studying piano since age 6 (over 25 years ago). I began with classical music, and later added Ragtime, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Rock, and Chord theory.

I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance, Classical Music (4 years). I have participated in numerous Piano Masterclasses in Europe, and I studied with great pianists. I still learn from different Highly Accomplished Musicians. I believe learning never stops.

I have much to share with my students.

TEACHING STYLE

I am a very patient teacher. I love teaching all ages. I don't teach everyone the same way. I tailor lessons according to individual goals and needs. I insist on the importance of technique and musicality.

I also guide all my students even outside of the teaching time, by responding to all their questions (music theory or technical) and sending them videos.

I teach how to prevent Piano Injuries by focusing on proper technique, posture, and practice habits.

My professional experience includes coaching students of all levels and ages. I successfully prepared the students for their Piano Exams, like ABRSM, Trinity Grade, from grades 1-8, with merits and distinctions, and more advanced exams as well (Performance Diplomas).

I teach for the Enjoyment of Music as well. I believe you can learn to play the piano at any age. My oldest student is over 75 years old, and my youngest one is 3 years old. They made great progress, and I am sure you could do the same.

I've never met anyone who didn't have musical abilities! You can be a serious or a recreational player. The only requirement is the willingness to spend some time at the piano.

I conduct my lessons using a combination of 4 cameras for optimum visibility, and a quality microphone which my students find very helpful. This allows them to see a very clear visual demonstration alongside my verbal explanation.

I can confidently say that Online Lessons are the same as In-Person Lessons.

CURRICULUM

I do not believe one method works for all students. I have used many different lesson books and resources over the years.

For beginners I like to use Alfred method books for basics concepts and for Classical and Jazz Piano technique I like to use ABRSM books (grade 1-8). If my student feels that they can learn better from another books, I am glad to adapt my teaching strategies to their needs.

Along with the lesson books below, I use a lot of supplemental materials based on the students' interests. I also aim to teach their favorite songs as soon as possible.

I like to clearly explain and demonstrate piano technique. In this way, the students are able to apply the information on similar passages from all genres of music.

I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard.

My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instill a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student.

Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you.

A bit about me:

Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'. The video shown below is from my stint playing and directing 'After Midnight', a show set to the music of the Duke Ellington Big Band.

Je propose des cours de contrebasse pour enfants et adultes, débutants ou plus avancés. Les leçons sont adaptées au niveau, au rythme et aux objectifs de chaque élève.

Nous travaillerons la technique, la musicalité et l’écoute à travers différents exercices et répertoires. Pour les plus jeunes, j’intègre également des jeux musicaux afin de rendre l’apprentissage naturel et motivant.

Mon objectif est de développer des bases solides tout en cultivant le plaisir de faire de la musique dans une atmosphère détendue et encourageante.

Je suis chanteuse et musicienne depuis plus de 20 ans. J’ai commencé très jeune avec une formation classique en chant, notamment au sein du Petit Chœur de l’Opéra de Paris.

Au fil des années, j’ai exploré différents univers musicaux : j’ai chanté dans un cabaret parisien, dans des groupes de rock, et sur scène dans divers projets musicaux. Cette diversité d’expériences me permet aujourd’hui d’accompagner les élèves aussi bien sur la technique vocale que sur l’interprétation.

Aujourd’hui, chanter est devenu mon métier et j’ai récemment sorti mon premier album.

Dans mes cours, j’attache beaucoup d’importance à transmettre la technique tout en gardant le plaisir de faire de la musique. Mon objectif est d’aider chaque élève à progresser, prendre confiance et trouver sa propre voix.

Mes cours s’adressent aux enfants comme aux adultes, débutants ou intermédiaires, qui souhaitent apprendre le chant ou le piano.

Ma particularité est de transmettre les bases musicales (rythme, oreille, solfège) directement à travers les chansons que vous aimez. L’objectif est de progresser de manière concrète et de devenir progressivement autonome pour apprendre et interpréter des morceaux.

Les cours peuvent être centrés sur le chant, sur le piano, ou sur l’accompagnement au piano pour chanter. Je privilégie une approche musicale et pratique plutôt que des cours de solfège théoriques.

Avec les enfants, les cours sont adaptés et ludiques afin de développer l’oreille musicale, la justesse et la confiance.

Chaque cours est personnalisé selon le niveau et les objectifs de l’élève.
