1.5 years tutoring in Paris
I worked in Paris as an English tutor teaching children with ages ranging from 5-16, with varying levels of English proficiency. I created lessons on emphasizing correct pronunciation, reading, comprehension, grammar and conversation - depending on the main needs of each child. I also assisted with any English homework given from the French school system.

1 year teaching English as a second language in Taiwan
The school provided a curriculum to follow for the year, however I had complete freedom in lesson planning. The children had a lot of energy and could lose focus quickly, so I created engaging, fun lessons to maximise their learning potential. I taught a class size of 16 children aged 4-5 with a Taiwanese co-teacher. I was the sole teacher for all lessons including, English topic, Language Arts, Phonics, MPM math, Science, Social Studies, P.E and Art. My additional duties included writing/directing a play
for graduation show, field trips with the children and maintaining good relationships with the parents.

Based on my 13 years of experience, I think that A1 level is a very important period in language learning. When learning any language, beginner level students should learn it in the correct order and important details should be explained well by practising previous ones. Students at more advanced levels, such as A2, B1 or above, also need to practice their skills at the previous level thoroughly to improve their language skills. I try to provide good teaching by paying attention to these important points in my lessons. I keep our lessons' notes in a word file.
