I am Ida, a creative and passionate musician, and music educator, counting 20 years in artistic practice and having 7+ years of experience in teaching. I offer you fun and inspiring singing lessons which are based on your individual needs and preferences. I have been teaching for almost four years. My lessons are tailored to the individual and I teach all ages and stages. Depending on whether you are looking for a hobby, an escape or a new skill to develop, I would love to teach you. I grew up classically trained in piano, violin and singing, but from the age of sixteen I started to compose rock and pop songs. In the last few years, I have been lead vocalist in an electronic band and I am now working on an electronic solo project. I write, produce and perform as a pianist/vocalist at special events. I believe in providing a full-on creative education. Nothing is more uninspiring than lessons full of rules. Of course, there are some basic principles to be guided by when learning music, but once you have those then you will have a lot more freedom. My repertoire covers Mozart, Brahms, Bach, jazz standards (Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald etc.), classic rock/pop (The Beatles, The Stones/David Bowie/Kate Bush etc.) and chord chart learning/composition.

Natalie is a professional and practicing musician In London, with a Masters Degree in Jazz Studies, she is a Known composer, collaborator and musician in London. With teaching experience in schools, 1-1 and group vocal improvisation workshops at The Royal Academy of Art. “Singing is simply needed for the mind and the soul. We are all meant to sing”. Whether you are starting out, wanting to develop your practice or of a high level already and looking for different and new techniques, I am happy to guide and help explore a special and individual experience just for you.

I am a professional opera singer, currently studying a Master's at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Having performed numerous operas, oratorios and song recitals, I have a in depth and far reaching knowledge of the classical vocal repertoire and a good command of the musical theatre repertoire. Whether you are using it professionally or for fun, I am a strong believer that establishing excellent technique is essential to developing a voice. I work from the premise that no two voices are the same and I tailor lessons to suit my students. We will work on technique, repertoire, interpretation and, where appropriate, language skills. Together, we can work on building a healthy voice and compiling a book of repertoire to help you prepare for exams or recitals. The aim of a lesson is to achieve vocal freedom, which will allow the student to approach repertoire healthily and confidently without fear of the voice giving out. Whatever age, skill level or intention for using the voice, this will ultimately make singing more enjoyable! I have experience coaching choirs and working with young people, particularly with Cambiata North West. I have given masterclasses and singing days, most recently at Saffron Walden County High School. As well as singing tuition, I am also happy to tutor music theory and academic music programmes up to and including A-Level Music. As a postgraduate student in music, I will help you to develop your singing through exercices and classes designed for your needs, depending on what you want to achieve. Besides, I will also help you discover or enhance your knowledge on music history, practicing your critical thinking and research skills.

I finished a music school and my speciality was the piano. I did an expanded course that lasted 13 years, 3-4 times per week and, of course, all included : sight reading, notation, music theory etc. Since 7 years old, I went to several national piano competitions all around the world every year until I was accepted at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute. There, I’m studying vocals and music industry in general. I won a lot of first, second, grand prices as marks of my achievements. I’m from Lithuania, I was working there as a private piano and singing teacher for a couple of years. During a gap year I took, I was teaching as well. My mum is a piano teacher, I was in this sphere for all my life. As I was teaching, I had international students from Germany and Italy. It makes me experienced in English language teaching. Songwriting is a great skill to have and a useful means of expression. Songwriting and musicianship involve using your instrument (guitar or keyboard usually) to create a song (lyrics and music) or piece of instrumental music if you prefer. I will guide you through the theory in as much or as little depth as you prefer, using it merely as a tool to better learn your craft of composition. For less experienced musicians, we can use my own color music system to find and remember where notes are on the instrument. Whether you are already an aspiring songwriter, just beginning, or thinking about embarking on the journey of learning to be a songwriter, these classes can offer you a scaffolding upon which to hang your talent. Together we can flesh out the ideas of your compositions that when realized will give you an incredible feeling of having created your own structure of beautiful sounds.
